Chapter 203 Uninvited Guest
Chapter 203 Uninvited Guest
Chloe!
The two of them hurried out of the bedroom.
There in the living room stood Chloe-no doubt about it.
She hadn’t been invited; she’d just let herself in.
Jasmine wasn’t having it.
“Chloe, you do realize this is called trespassing, right?”
Chloe’s eyes swept over the assortment of boxes scattered around.
“You’re moving out?”
Jasmine crossed her arms. “What’s it to you?”
Chloe’s gaze flicked toward Ethan. “Are you moving in with him?”
That threw even Ethan off for a second-let alone Jasmine.
The way the Vances’ minds worked was really something else.
Sierra had no patience left.

“Chloe, take your entitled Vance attitude somewhere else and get lost. /Can’t you tell nobody wants you here?”
To give credit where it was due, Chloe had a real talent for shamelessness.
Or, seen another way, she was stubbornly devoted to Ethan.
Even after being dismissed so bluntly, she didn’t lash out. She just kept her eyes fixed on Ethan.
“Ethan, don’t you have a fiancée? Why are you always around her? When you turned me down, you kept using your fiancée as the reason. So how come when you’re with Jasmine, your fiancée doesn’t seem to matter anymore?”
That caught the whole room off guard.
Nobody expected her to be so clear-headed when it came to fighting her corner.
Ethan’s eyes narrowed slightly. He was about to respond when Caleb cut in first.
“Ms. Vance, is Ethan the only person in this room you see? The rest of us are just furniture to you? If something was really going on between them, do you think they’d have all of us tagging along? Use a little common sense. We’re just friends hanging out. Got it?”

“Friends?” Chloe jabbed a finger toward Jasmine. “Don’t let this woman fool you. She’s trouble-always playing innocent while she schemes underneath. She’s just using all of you!”
At this point, everyone was too annoyed to even get mad.
Nothing pleasant ever came out of Chloe’s mouth.
Sierra muttered under her breath, “Like mother, like daughter. You and your mom are two of a kind.”
The second Chloe heard that, she snapped.
“Who do you think you are! How dare you talk about my mother like that!”
Sierra never backed down. She doubled down instead.
“Yeah, I said it. So what? And not just your mom-your grandma too. Neither of them is any good. Your whole family’s full of schemers, walking around with this dark, toxic energy. You know what? I almost feel sorry for Silas now. Stuck day after day with people who have no manners, no morals, who twist the truth and plot against anyone decent. No wonder he turned out the way he did.”
She took a quick breath before plowing on.
“It’s a classic case of ‘you are who you hang out with. And now with the Sterlings’ mistress in the picture, plus you that makes four. Just enough for a card table. All of you are nothing but parasites. A whole crew of freaks and monsters.”
By the time she finished, Sierra was slightly out of breath.
Caleb smirked and patted her shoulder. “Take it easy. Don’t pass out on us-not worth it over her.”
“You… you…”
Chloe struggled to form a full sentence, finally spitting out, “You’re nothing but a lunatic!”
Sierra planted her hands on her hips.
“You bet I am! So you’d better get out now, before I really lose it and slap you silly!”
Chloe was trembling with rage now.
Everyone in the Vance family opposed her being with Ethan.
Ethan himself wanted nothing to do with her.
And now this group was mocking her right to her face.
What was she even holding onto?
The more she thought, the more sorry for herself she felt. Her lip quivered; she looked on the verge of
tears.

Sierra couldn’t have cared less.
“If you’re gonna cry, take it outside. We’re not hosting a pity party in here.”
In a burst of anger, Chloe grabbed the nearest thing on the table-a ceramic figurine-and hurled it at Sierra.
If it had hit, it would’ve left a nasty mark.
But it didn’t hit Sierra. Caleb stepped in and took the blow himself, the figurine striking him square in the back.
Sierra’s heart jumped. Without a second thought, she lunged at Chloe, grabbed her by the hair, and started swinging.
Chloe fought back fiercely, and the two tumbled into a full-on scrap.
Caleb just sighed. “What do we do now?”
It wasn’t like they could actually beat up Chloe.
Ethan watched coolly, gently pulling Jasmine farther from the fray.
Then his thin lips parted, voice cold and even.
“Throw her out.”
Caleb rolled up his sleeves, ready to do just that.
But out of nowhere, someone else rushed in and started hitting Chloe too.
Everyone froze.
The person who’d joined the fray was Anna.
As she swung, she kept chanting under her breath, “Bad girl! Bad person! Bad people get hit!”
And she wasn’t holding back at all.
