I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 125

Chapter 125

Matthew looked at Miya. A faint, unreadable smile played at the corner of his lips. ‘So are you hoping I help her, or hoping I

don’t”

Miya put on her most innocent smile. I’m just worried about my sister. Don’t read too much into it.”

Matthew gave an exaggerated nod of understanding. “Oh, I see. Well then, no comment.”

Miya didn’t seem bothered. She just studied him for a moment, then said, “You like my sister too, don’t you?”

Matthew’s expression didn’t change. He kept eating as though she hadn’t spoken.

Miya pulled Keith close and began putting food on his plate while she continued. “She’s so bright and full of energy, like a little ray of sunshine. She’s kind and loyal. Who wouldn’t like her?”

Matthew still said nothing.

Miya was starting to feel the awkwardness. She stole a few more glances at Matthew and noticed the stark contrast in how he treated her versus how he treated Thalia. With Miya, he was distant and detached. With Thalia, he had been all warmth and smiles.

The difference was night and day.

Miya’s expression slowly soured.

Thalia had barely stepped out of the restaurant and was about to hail a cab when someone grabbed her wrist.

She turned and found herself staring straight into Darion’s piercing eyes.

Thalia frowned and tried to pull free. “What do you want?” She struggled against his grip.

Darion’s voice was low and controlled. “What were you and Matthew talking about?”

Thalia snapped back. “That’s none of your business. Let go of me.”

Darion pulled her closer until she was right in front of him. “I’m your husband. You’re out having dinner alone with another man, making plans behind my back. Don’t I have a right to know? Thalia, we’re still married.”

Thalia stared at him and let out a scornful laugh. “What’s the matter? Afraid I’ll fall for someone else?”

Darion’s face darkened. “You wouldn’t dare.”

Thalia’s gaze turned icy. “You did it first. So why can’t I? All we’d be is even. Getting mad about it is a little hypocritical, don’t you think?”

Darion stared at her for a long moment, then, without warning, seized her arm and started dragging her back toward the

restaurant.

His entire demeanor had shifted. Every line of his body radiated a sharp, dangerous energy, and the fury in his eyes was unmistakable.

He looked like he was about to kill someone.

Chapter 125

Thalia didn’t want to go with him. She struggled against his grip. “Let me go! Why are you acting crazy again?”

Darion’s voice came out cold and low. “I’m going to ask Matthew what he did to make you fall for him.”

Thalia was completely speechless. He believes everything I say?’ she thought bitterly. Then why didn’t he believe I saved him during the earthquake? Why did he have to investigate that?’

“Darion, will you knock it off)” she yelled at him.

Darion stopped in his tracks. They stood there on the sidewalk, frozen in place, their tense silence and raised voices drawing stares from passersby.

Darion’s eyes bore into her. Then he smiled. “I won’t stop. We’ve got the rest of our lives, you and me. This doesn’t end till we’re dead.”

He didn’t head back to the restaurant. Instead, he walked to the curb, opened the passenger door of his car, and pushed her inside.
