I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 138

Chapter 138

Thalia jerked her hand away from Shyla’s grip and frowned at her mother. “Where’s your proof that Grandma was the other woman’ She’s your mother, too. How can you say that about her?”

Shyla’s expression darkened. “I wouldn’t lie to you. I heard it with my own cars when your grandpa and grandma were fighting.

They brought up everything from when they were young, and that’s when I found out. Your grandma came between your grandpa and his first love and broke them up.”

She paused before continuing. “Those sapphire earrings were their engagement gift. But your grandma refused to give them back, and your grandpa died heartbroken because of it.”

Thalia stared at her in disbelief. “You’re telling me you decided Grandma was a homewrecker just because of some argument? I don’t even know you anymore. Shouldn’t you be on Grandma’s side? She’s your mother!”

Diana had always been kind and gentle, carrying herself with the grace of a refined lady. Thalia couldn’t imagine her doing something like that.

‘Besides, who really knows what happened when they were young? Where’s the proof? It’s just their word against each other,’ Thalia thought.

There was no way Thalia would believe Shyla based on a few angry words.

Diana had always treated her well, and she trusted Diana.

Shyla frowned at her daughter. “Why won’t you listen to me? You say I’m not standing by my own mother, but what about you? Why aren’t you standing by me?”

Thalia’s lips curved into a cold smile. “Because you’re a terrible mother. You only have eyes for your adopted daughter, not your real one.”

Shyla raised her hand to slap her, but Thalia stepped back and dodged the blow.

Her voice turned icy. “The sapphire earrings belong to Grandma, and I’ll never give them to Miya. I don’t care if their old drama is real or fake. I only know that Grandma has always been good to me, and I won’t let her down.”

She turned and walked away.

Shyla’s voice shook as she spoke. “Then you need to give up the Coleman family shares!”

Thalia shot back immediately. “Those shares belong to me too, and I’m not handing them over to an outsider.”

Trenton stepped forward, and his tone was cold. “That’s not your decision to make. I can call my lawyer right now and terminate the agreement. You’re way too arrogant, Thalia.”

They stood across from her, and their eyes didn’t look at her like she was their daughter.

Thalia took a deep breath and said, “If you dare give those shares to Miya, don’t blame me for taking her down with me. You know what I’m like when I lose it. I’m capable of anything.”

Her gaze sharpened. “You can try me.”

With that, she turned and walked out.
