Chapter 152
“Darion, I don’t care what happened, Helen said seriously. “You can’t do something like that. Keith already lost his father. He can’t lose his mother too.”
She hated Miya. She truly did.
But the child had already grown up without a father’s love. He couldn’t lose his mother’s love on top of that
Helen just wanted to keep Miya and Darion from getting tangled up together.
Darion recounted what happened last night. His tone was cold and detached.
Helen fell silent for a moment. “I understand,” she finally said. “This can be sorted out, but it’s hard to discuss over the phone. Just come to the hospital. We’ll clear this up face to face.”
“Fine, Darion responded before hanging up.
But he didn’t rush to leave. Instead, he calmly continued eating his breakfast.
Thalia kept her expression blank. “I need to use the bathroom,” she said.
Darion nodded. “Alright, I’ll come with you,” he replied.
Thalia stared at him in silence.
She felt a headache coming on. “What do you want from me?” she asked, exasperated.
Darion met her gaze. “Come with me to the hospital first,” he said. “Then I’ll take you home to rest.”
She studied him carefully. She was trying to figure out if he was telling the truth.
Darion smiled. “I’m not lying to you,” he said.
Thalia stayed quiet. After they finished their meal, they headed straight to the hospital.
Darion and Thalia arrived at the hospital an hour later.
Helen looked surprised when she saw them walk in together.
“Helen, Thalia greeted her.
Helen smiled warmly. “How’s the new job going?” she asked. “Are you settling in well?”
“It’s going well, Thalia replied quietly.
Helen’s smile widened. It’ll only get better from here,” she said.
She pushed open the door to the hospital room.
Miya had caught a cold and spiked a high fever. The fever had broken, but her face was still pale She looked fragile and helpless lying there.

Chapter 152
Kenh Miya reached out her arms when she saw him. Tears streamed down her face
‘Mom’ Kenth ran over and threw himself into her embrace
Miya and Keith cried together.
Darion frowned as he watched the scene. His eyes flickered with impatience.
Helen’s voice cut through the room. “Enough. Nobody’s trying to take your son from you. The way you’re crying makes it look like the Blackburn family is abusing you.”
Miya flinched. She sniffled and forced herself to stop crying.
Helen continued, “I already know what happened last night. It’s clear you can’t handle working and taking care of Keith at the same time. You need to choose one.”
Miya bit her lip. She held Keith tighter against her chest. “I’ll take care of Keith,” she said quietly.
Helen nodded. “Good. Then go resign from your job. The Blackburn family will take care of you financially. You don’t need to work. Raising Keith properly is more important than anything else.”
