I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 163

Chapter 162

Chapter 163

After Jason finished speaking, he shot a look at Clinton, making his meaning crystal clear.

Clinton’s expression remained calm, as if he hadn’t heard a word.

Thalia nodded. “Yeah, you’re right. I get it.”

Seeing her so indifferent, Jason started to get anxious. Why isn’t Darion here yet?’ he wondered.

He grinned and said, “Thalia, just two people eating together is so dull. Why don’t I stick around and join you? It’ll be way livelier with three of us.”

But Thalia frowned a little. “I’m afraid that’s not really appropriate. I still have some business to discuss with our manager.”

Jason’s eyes widened a bit. “You two can talk all you want, I won’t spill a thing. Thalia, don’t you trust me?”

“No,” Thalia replied, her tone firm.

‘Like he’d actually keep his mouth shut?’ Thalia thought to herself.

‘He’d probably run straight to Darion Blackburn and spill everything the moment he got the chance!”

There’s no way I could ever trust him!’

Jason was still stunned, not sure what to do, when Clinton suddenly burst out laughing.

Jason immediately frowned at him. “What are you laughing at?”

Clinton blinked innocently. “I just heard something funny. Can’t I laugh?”

Then he turned to Thalia, shaking his head. “Your friend’s such a control freak. He won’t even let anyone crack a smile.”

But Thalia said seriously, “Honestly, he’s not my friend.”

Thalia!” Jason blurted out, sounding genuinely wounded. “How could you say I’m not your friend? That really breaks my

heart!”

Watching his dramatic performance, Thalia’s eyes were especially clear, her tone calm and distant. “Since the day we met, you’ve only treated me as Darion’s wife. You know nothing about me. So tell me, what kind of friends are we supposed to be?”

Hearing that, Jason couldn’t help but rub his nose.

“Well, she’s not wrong.

He’d met Darion first, and Thalia only came after.

Of course he knew little about her.

But now, looking into Thalia’s clear eyes, he actually found himself unable to meet her gaze.

Just then, Clinton stood up. “I’m about finished. Shall we go?”

“Sure. Thalia nodded.

Jason had no reason to follow them anymore, so he just watched them leave, his expression conflicted.

Clinton paid the bill.

No way Thalia actually agreed to have dinner with another guy!’ Jason thought, his heart pounding

Darion’s doomed!”

He quickly pulled out his phone and called Darion.

After three rings, the call finally connected.

“Hey Darion, guess what? I just saw Thalia, and she-Jason blurted out.

“I know.” Darion replied, his voice calm and steady.

Before he could finish, Darion’s cool, unhurried voice came through, and then he hung up without another word.

Jason stared at his phone, totally confused. ‘Wait, how did Darion already know?’

He scratched his head, feeling troubled.

‘Man, Darion and Thalia used to be crazy about each other, Jason thought.
