Chapter 177
Darion tugged at his lips with no expression. “What a coincidence.”

Sebastian could feel the hostility coming from Darion, an icy chill spread through the air, and an inexplicable pressure weighing down on him.
Darion turned to Thalia, his tone softening. “Thalia, I’m hungry. Will you stay and eat with me?”
Thalia shot him a blank look.
‘Like I’d ever listen to him.
‘What a joke.
‘He always treated my feelings and words like they were nothing but hot air,’ she scoffed inwardly.
She looked away, ignoring him completely.
Darion felt a tightness in his chest and instinctively squeezed her fingers. “Thalia.”
“Let go of me. I want some water,” Thalia’s voice was frosty.
Darion’s gaze grew even more shadowed, but he still let her go.
Sebastian sat across from them, watching how they acted around each other.
Their relationship was clearly strained.
When the food was served, Darion had the waiter set another place and made sure to order Thalia’s favorite dishes.
The mood at the table felt heavy and suffocating.
Sebastian got a call and glanced at Thalia with an apologetic smile. “Sorry, Ms. Coleman, something came up and I need to
head out.”
Thalia shook her head. “No worries. Go take care of it.”
Sebastian stood up, gave Darion a slight nod, and then walked out.
With Sebastian gone, Thalia dropped the act and went straight for sarcasm. “So, what now? Not hanging around your beloved Miya anymore?”
Darion’s dark, sharp eyes fixed on her as he explained, “I was just doing Miya a favor. It’s all settled now.”
Thalia gave him a half-smile. “What’s the point? You might be done with her, but what about Keith? Are you really going to stop dealing with him? They’re mother and son, always tied together. You’ll never get away from them.”
She set down her fork, wiped her mouth, and said, “Darion, if you could just admit you actually have feelings for Miya Coleman and can’t let her go, maybe I’d even respect you for it.”
She got up and walked out.
But Darion stopped her, blocking her escape and keeping her pinned to the chair.

Chapter 177
“Thalia, don’t say things like that, okay?”
Mothers
His brows furrowed with frustration. I’ve only ever had feelings for you. It’s been eight years. Do you really need me to prove it again?”
Thalia looked at his handsome face, let out a bitter laugh, and said, “Eight years, and only now do I finally see your true colors. Guess I’m the bigger fool after all.”
Darion’s jaw clenched, veins standing out at his temples as his hands gripped the chair arms even tighter.
“Have you really seen through me?” he asked in a cold, low voice, the icy aura around him intensifying.
Thalia’s long lashes quivered as she lowered her gaze. “Let’s suppose I never asked for a divorce and we kept living together like before.
“You wouldn’t have just kept secrets from me about going abroad for her delivery and getting a vasectomy. You would’ve kept pushing the boundaries, getting worse and worse.”
