Thalia was taken to the police station. In the interrogation room, she sat on a freezing chair while the two officers acrow from her went through the usual questions

She kept her eyes down the whole time, not saying a single word.

The two officers glanced at each other, then fell silent.

It would take some time to retrieve the surveillance footage, and Miya Coleman was still unconscious.

Thalia was left alone in the interrogation room: everyone else had already gone.

She closed her eyes, her face showing a deeper weariness.

She was here to see Darion, not Shyla.

“That’s right, Shyla said, her expression softened a bit as she saw Thalia finally lose her composure. “Thalia, you messed up. You need to own up to it, apologize to your sister, and give her the chance to work with the Flynn Group. If you do that, we can just move on.”

Ha.’ Thalia let out a mocking laugh, the bitterness clear in her voice.
