“Thalia, are you awake?”

Shyla’s cautious voice came from outside.

Darion’s expression darkened. He got up, walked over, and opened the door to find Shyla standing there.

She instinctively took two steps back. “Darion, is Thalia awake?”

Darion said coldly. “What are you doing here?”

Shyla said, “I came to check on her. I just want to know how she’s doing.”

“She’s doing okay, but she doesn’t want to see you. Don’t come by anymore,” Darion said in a low voice.

“I can’t just stay away,” Shyla’s eyes reddened. “Thalia’s hurt so badly. I need to check on her.”

Darion closed the hospital room door, his handsome face tinged with impatience. “When is Mr. Coleman coming to apologize to her?”

Shyla was taken aback. “Apologize? For what?”

Darion scoffed coldly.

“So my words mean nothing to you, is that it?” Darion said, his tone icy.

Shyla looked flustered, but quickly pulled herself together. “Darion, your dad was just so angry he lost his head. He didn’t really want to hit Thalia. He’s her father. Parents don’t usually apologize to their own children, do they? Besides, Thalia really was at fault this time.”

Darion’s voice was icy. “Are you saying she did something wrong? Did you actually see her push Miya?”

Shyla froze for a moment before saying, “But Miya wouldn’t hurt herself just to set Thalia up.”

“Maybe she just slipped, but Thalia would never do something like that,” Darion thought, his trust in Thalia unwavering.

Shyla looked like she wanted to say more.

Darion raised his hand, cutting her off. “Have Trenton come and apologize to Thalia. Otherwise, I won’t show any mercy to you all.”

With that, he turned and walked back into the hospital room.

Shyla stood in the hallway, completely flustered, her face pale as she hurried away.

“Trenton, what are we going to do? Darion is really angry. You were way too harsh with Thalia,” she said anxiously.

Trenton shrugged it off. “He’s just bluffing. I’m his father-in-law. If he actually tried to go after me, it’d be a joke to everyone. He’s the CEO of the Blackburn Group. He’d never do something that crazy.”

But even though he said that, Shyla couldn’t help but feel uneasy.

Miya, lying in bed. tried to sit up, struggling. “I’ll go apologize. It’s all my fault. If it weren’t for me, Dad and Thalia wouldn’t be at odds like this. I’ll go apologize to her. I’ll do whatever she asks, anything at all…”

Trenton went to the office, only to be bombarded with calls from his subordinates. One after another, the Coleman Group’s partnerships with the Blackburn Group were being terminated.

Even their suppliers were pulling out, some even willing to pay the penalty fees just to get out of their contracts.

The Coleman Group’s stock price was in free fall, and the company was suddenly facing a mountain of crises.
