Miya’s eyes flickered as she forced herself to get up. I’ll go apologize. This is all my fault. If I hadn’t been such a mess and fallen. Dad wouldn’t have gotten so angry, he wouldn’t have lashed out at Lia, and Darion wouldn’t have blamed Dad.
I’ll go apologize to Lia. As long as she forgives me, I’ll do whatever it takes.”
Shyla quickly stopped her. “Miya, this has nothing to do with you! What’s wrong with your dad teaching his kids a lesson? Darion’s just interfering too much!”
Miya’s eyes turned red. “But… if I don’t apologize, Darion won’t let it go.”
Shyla looked at Trenton. “What else can we do? Are we really supposed to apologize to Thalia? That’s ridiculous.”
Trenton paused for a moment, then said, “I’ll go pay the Blackburns a visit.”
He was convinced that if the Blackburn family stepped in to pressure Darion, there was no way this couldn’t be settled.
He got up and left without another word.
But not long after he left, two more bodyguards showed up and took their positions outside the hospital room.
Shyla noticed them and asked, “Who are you?”
One of the bodyguards replied, “We’re here on Mr. Blackburn’s orders to protect Mrs. Miya Blackburn.”
Shyla looked conflicted.
Darion was targeting the Colemans, but at the same time, he was protecting Miya.
What exactly is he trying to do?’ Shyla wondered.
Miya still wanted to apologize to Thalia. When Shyla stepped out, she even tried to get out of bed, unsteady on her feet.
When she reached the door, the bodyguards blocked her way.
What’s this about?” Miya asked, looking confused.
The bodyguard replied, “Mr. Blackburn said your injuries are serious. You shouldn’t be moving around until you’re healed. or it’ll slow your recovery.”
Miya’s heart sank.
Did Darion already guess I’d go see Thalia?
Is he just trying to keep me out of it?’ she thought.
Miya clenched her fists. “I just want to step outside for a bit.”
The bodyguard kept a straight face. “Mrs. Blackburn, please don’t make this hard on me.”
With no other choice, Miya had to go back and lie down.

Chapter 201
Trenton showed up at the Blackburns, and Darion got the news almost instantly.
He walked out of the conference room, his handsome, sharp face cool and aloof. Those narrow, phoenix-like eyes were deep and unreadable, betraying nothing.
Ryan stood nearby and reported, “Mr. Coleman called you as well.”
Darion said coolly, “You’ll handle the afternoon meeting, and tonight’s drinks are yours.”
Ryan was momentarily stunned, but kept his face blank as he replied, “Yes, sir.”
Darion signed the last document and left the Blackburn Group without another word.
He swung by Yetch’s Meatballs Shop on the south side to pick up some meatballs to go, then headed straight for the hospital.
When he walked into the room, he saw Thalia sitting on the bed, her little face looking gloomy. She kept sneaking glances at the door, clearly wanting to get out of there.
Darion walked over, set the meatballs on the cabinet, and asked, “Does it still hurt today?”
Thalia looked up at him, her tone sharp. “How long are you planning to keep me trapped in here? You keep disappearing. Did you forget what I said to you yesterday?”
Darion opened the bag, his voice cool. “I got your favorite meatballs. Eat something first.”
Thalia glared at the meatballs, then abruptly got up and grabbed them, her movements tense.
Darion just watched, making no move to stop her.
In the very next moment, Thalia dumped the meatballs straight into the trash, her expression defiant.
Thalia shot him a glare. “You can’t keep me locked up. And you need to come with me to City Hall. We’re getting a divorce.”
The meatballs were already open, their smell filling the hospital room, but she tossed them all straight into the trash.
Darion’s brows furrowed, those intense phoenix eyes locking onto her, his expression darkening.
“Not a fan of these meatballs? Tell me what you want, I’ll go get it,” Darion said, his voice steady but with a hint of concern.
