I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 225

Chapter 225

“You didn’t find anything?” Thalia was shocked. “How could that be?”

55 vouchers

Wendy scratched her head. “I’m just as confused. There’s a record of her entering the orphanage at ten, and your parents adopted her at twelve. But everything before that is completely blank, like someone deliberately erased it.”

Thalia felt her heart sink. Miya’s past had been wiped away.

‘Why would someone erase her history?

Was there something shameful in her past?

‘Or maybe someone wanted to hide something?’ Thalia wondered.

Wendy said, “I’m not really an expert, so this is all I could dig up.”

“You’ve already done a great job,” Thalia said with a reassuring smile. “Let’s not look into it any further.”

She was afraid that if Wendy kept investigating, she might end up in danger.

“Okay,” Wendy nodded, sprawled out on her bed with her chin propped up on her hand, a puzzled look still lingering on her face. “Seriously, who is Miya, really? Your parents treat her like she’s special, and her whole past is just… erased. It’s kind of mysterious, isn’t it?”

Thalia lowered her gaze. “I honestly have no idea.”

‘If I did, I wouldn’t feel so lost right now, Thalia thought to herself.

Wendy yawned. “Ugh… feels like we’ve hit a dead end. Don’t stress too much, though. Sooner or later, the truth will come out.”

“Yeah, I get it. If you’re tired, go ahead and rest,” Thalia said.

“Okay, goodnight, babe,” Wendy replied.

“Goodnight.”

After hanging up, Thalia sat on the edge of her bed, her mind blank and her expression dazed.

Trenton and Shyla must know all about Miya’s history.

‘Were they the ones who erased everything?

‘Why would they go that far? Thalia thought.

She just couldn’t wrap her head around it.

But honestly, she didn’t even have the energy to ask anymore.

She’d already done a paternity test with Shyla, and the results were about to come in.

Her heart felt sour and heavy, but she forced herself not to dwell on it. She pulled back the covers and climbed into bed

Chapter 225

She took the morning off to handle the property transfer paperwork.

When she got back to work in the afternoon, she unexpectedly ran into Darion again.

He treated the voiceover department like his own playground, popping up whenever he pleased.

Darion’s dark eyes fixed on her. “Where have you been, Thalia?”

Thalia said flatly, “I went to sell my house.”

Darion fixed his deep, shadowy gaze on her, like he could see straight through her and catch every lie.

Thalia let out a bitter little laugh. “That place never gave me any sense of security. People could just barge in whenever they felt like it. Honestly, selling it seemed like the only smart move.”

“So, where are you going to live now?” Darion asked in a deep voice.

“Maybe I should just move back to Rosewood Manor,” Thalia said, raising an eyebrow as she looked at him.

Darion’s breath caught for a second, then he said, “You should’ve been living at Rosewood Manor all along. That’s our home.”

“Yeah, whatever,” Thalia replied, her tone dismissive.

“Is there anything else? I’m busy,” she said, brushing him off.
