Thalia and I are friends. She just moved into a new place, so I had to come by and congratulate her, Sebastian said, his tone gentle

He wasn’t fazed at all by the sharp vibe coming from Mr Blackburn.

He glanced at the food on the table and said with a hint of regret, “Mr. Blackburn, you came at a bad time. This is just enough for three people, and we’re almost finished”

“Thalia. Darion mused, feeling a twinge of irritation.

He’s calling her so intimately, Darion thought, his jaw clenching in annoyance

Darion Blackburn’s eyes grew even colder, his sharp. handsome face betraying no emotion. Still, an invisible pressure seemed to spread through the room, making the atmosphere tense and stifling.

“Since you’re done eating, you can leave now. The rest of the evening belongs to me and my wife. Darion said coolly.

Thalia took a few deep breaths before walking over and saying, “We’re not done yet. I’m still hungry

She sat down, picked up her fork, and started eating.

Then she looked at Sebastian. “Sebastian, do you want some more?”

Sebastian glanced at Darion with a faint, teasing smile. “Yeah, I could eat a bit more.” he replied.

Sebastian shot Darion a look, full of teasing and challenge

Darion’s icy glare only grew sharper, the cold in his eyes intensifying.

Darion’s gaze settled on Thalia, cold and intense, almost suffocating.

She was always so easygoing with others.

He’d told her countless times to keep her distance from Sebastian, but she just wouldn’t listen.

Rage simmered in his chest, leaving him on edge and unable to sit still.

Wendy quietly slipped back in, glanced at Darion, and almost let a curse slip, but managed to hold it back.

Whatever.

Yeah, mouthing off feels good for a second, but if he decides to come after me. I’m dead meat, Wendy thought

Td better keep my head down and stay alive. Wendy told herself.

The hamburger was still releasing pleasant aroma, but the mood had gone from lively to tense in an instant.

It felt like a heavy cloud had settled over everyone, making even the food taste bland.

As Thalia was picking the meat in the hamburger, Darion reached out, took her hand, and turned her fork toward his lips.

He ate it without batting an eye, like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Chapter 230

Thalia’s brows knitted together, and she was so annoyed she wanted to jab her fork right into his head.

Darion said coolly, “Not bad. I want more. Keep picking

His affection for her seemed effortless, and the way he looked at her was incredibly gentle.

Then he gave Sebastian a brief look, quickly shifting his gaze away.

Thalia put down her fork. “I’m full.”

Wendy put down her fork too. “Hey, sweetie, there’s nothing much going on here. Why don’t you come crash at my place tonight?”

Thalia looked at her and smiled. “No, it’s fine I’m good here.”

But Darion turned to Sebastian. “It’s getting late. Aren’t you heading home, Sebastian? Or are you planning to stay and help with the dishes?”

He acted like the host here, showing them the door without batting an eye

Thalia said, “Sebastian’s my friend. It’s not your call to send him away.”

Darion raised an eyebrow. “So, are you thinking of letting him spend the night here?”
