Chapter 234
Daron’s expression grew even darker.
Sunlight poured in through the window, but it felt just as cold inside.
Thalia was all prickles, bristling and making sure he couldn’t get close.

Darion brushed her cheek, his expression dark, and after a moment’s silence, he finally asked, “What do you want for breakfast?”
Thalia pushed his hand away. “Are you really going to cook whatever I ask for?”
“Yes.”
Darion replied softly.
Thalia said. “I want Huni’s Bread from the Southside.”
She lived up north, and the two places were on opposite ends of town.
Darion nodded. “Alright, I’ll be back soon.”
He put on his coat and headed out.
Thalia’s tense body finally loosened a bit. She hugged her knees to her chest, her face pale and sickly.
Darion would listen to her about the little things.
But when it came to the big stuff, he just ignored her.
What’s the point?’ Thalia thought bitterly.
She washed up and headed out as soon as she was done.
She grabbed a quick bite outside, but since she was on her period, she felt weak and drained. The cramps kept coming in waves, leaving her annoyed and uncomfortable.
When Thalia got to the office, she was caught off guard to find Darion already there.
He was holding a breakfast bag and handed it over. “I knew you wouldn’t just sit around and wait for me, so I brought it straight to you. There’s some oatmeal too. Have a bit, it’ll help you feel better.”
Thalia didn’t take it, just gave him a frosty look.
Darion set the breakfast bag down on her desk and turned to leave without saying anything else.
Thalia looked around at her coworkers. “Anyone here skip breakfast?”
They all looked at her, but nobody said a word.
Thalia couldn’t care less. She just tossed the breakfast straight into the trash.
Wesley Chase showed up and called a meeting.

After a busy morning. Thalia got a call from the court in the afternoon. They wanted to meet for mediation.
Is it finally happening? Thalia thought, feeling a mix of nerves and relief.
She took a deep breath and said, “I’m free this afternoon.”
‘Alright, let’s go straight to Blackburn Group,” the court official said.
Not long after, Ryan Johnson came down, his expression serious. “Mrs. Blackburn, Mr. Blackburn has asked you to come upstairs.”
Thalia nodded. “Alright.”
She followed Ryan Johnson into the elevator, and he kept glancing at her from time to time.
Mrs. Blackburn is really gutsy!
She actually went and secretly filed for divorce!
But honestly, nobody in Oakwood would dare take Mr. Blackburn’s divorce case. Who’s crazy enough to go up against him?’ Ryan thought.
Thalia said with a hint of indifference, “Why are you staring at me?”
Ryan quickly looked away. “N-Nothing…”
Thalia chuckled softly. “Wondering how I managed it? Not everyone just follows his orders like a puppet.”
Ryan kept his mouth shut, not daring to respond.
The elevator soon arrived at the CEO’s office.
The people from the court were already in the reception room.
Darion sat relaxed on the sofa, watching the two mediators with a hint of amusement in his dark eyes.
As soon as Thalia walked in, his eyes instantly locked onto her.
Thalia, you really surprised me,” Darion said, his tone layered with emotion.
