Listening to Diana’s gentle voice and feeling her hand soothingly rub her back, Thalia felt a lump rise in her throat. She was on the verge of breaking down in tears.

But she managed to hold back and said in a muffled voice, “Diana, Darion and I are going through a divorce.”

Diana was clearly stunned and quickly looked at her. “What happened? How did it come to this?”

She had thought they were just having a little spat.

After all, they’d been together for so many years. Diana never thought anything could drive them apart.

Thalia kept her head down, her voice still muffled. “I don’t love him anymore. I’m done with him.”

Diana lay back down, let out a soft sigh, and said, “Then just get a divorce.”

Thalia was taken aback. She finally looked up at Diana. “You… you really don’t mind?”

When Diana saw Thalia’s eyes rimmed with red, tears threatening to spill, her heart broke for her.

‘If you don’t love him anymore, that means he must have done something to hurt you. So you don’t need him anymore. If you’re feeling hurt and wronged, you know I’ll always be on your side.”

Diana said softly, reaching out to gently wipe away the tears at the corners of Thalia’s eyes.

Thalia let out a few soft sobs, then buried her face in Diana’s arms again, her voice trembling as she choked out, “Diana…”

Her voice was thick with tears.

All the heartache, bitterness, and suffocating pain she’d bottled up finally poured out of her.

She thought she’d break down and cry, but she didn’t.

She just wept quietly, her muffled sobs tugging at Diana’s heartstrings.

Diana stayed silent, patiently waiting for Thalia to let her emotions run their course. After a while, Thalia finally settled down, her body no longer shaking.

Then Diana spoke gently. “Since you’re getting a divorce, we shouldn’t be staying in Darion’s house anymore. Where are you planning to stay now?”

Thalia sniffled, her eyes puffy and red from crying, but there was a new clarity in her gaze.

It was like those tears had washed away all the gloom that had been clouding her heart.

“I’m staying at another place. Are we leaving now?” Thalia asked softly.

“Of course,” Diana nodded, then stood up briskly and got dressed.

They were soon properly dressed and left the guest room together.

But unexpectedly. Darion was in the living room, holding a glass of wine, his demeanor noble and icy.

When he saw them come out, he set his glass down and walked over. “Diana, where are you two headed so late at night?” he

Diana replied. “I want to check out where Thalia is living these days.”

Darion’s eyes fell on Thalia’s face.

It was obvious she’d been crying, but there was a faint smile tugging at her lips.

She had her arm hooked through Diana’s, leaning on her for support.

Looks like they’ve already talked about the divorce, Darion thought to himself.

Darion said. “It’s getting late. If you want to go, I’ll drive you over tomorrow. It’s not really safe to head out so late at night.”
