I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 247

Chapter 247

“So this is where you live? Pretty nice,” Diana said as she walked in, looking around.

She wandered around the room and commented on it.

Back in her own space, Thalia felt much more at ease. She smiled as she poured Diana some warm water and said, “Yeah, I just moved in recently. I love the lake view outside”

The apartment complex had a lake view, and from her balcony, she could enjoy a full view of the lake

Diana took a sip of water and asked, “Thalia, care to share what’s been happening lately?”

Thalia’s gaze wavered. She really didn’t want to talk about it.

‘It’s just so pathetic, Thalia thought.

‘I even feel kind of ashamed, she admitted to herself.

So she said, “Diana, it’s getting late. Why don’t we get some rest? Staying up late isn’t good for you.”

She hugged Diana’s arm, acting spoiled like a little girl.

Diana could never say no to her when she acted like this, so she dropped the subject.

The two of them slept together, with Thalia curling up in Diana’s arms, relying on her completely, and drifting off to sleep almost instantly.

The next morning.

When Thalia woke up. Diana was no longer by her side.

She hurried out and saw Diana busying herself in the kitchen.

“Diana, why are you cooking? It’s a lot of work for you. Why don’t we just eat out?” Thalia said as she walked over.

But Diana shook her head. “No, we’re not going out. When was the last time you tasted my cooking? Don’t you crave it sometimes?”

“Of course I do, but I don’t want you to wear yourself out,” Thalia replied with a bright smile.

Diana said, “I knew you’d want it, so I just made a couple of simple dishes, all your favorites.”

She would’ve loved to cook something more elaborate, but Thalia’s kitchen only had limited ingredients.

Thalia went to wash up, and by the time she finished, breakfast was already on the table.

It was just some simple egg pancakes and tomato and egg soup, but as soon as Thalia took a bite, she couldn’t help but sigh contentedly.

“This is exactly Grandma’s favor,” Thalia said.

Diana smiled. “If you like it, eat as much as you want.”

“Okay!” Thalia replied.

Chapter 247

Thalia ate heartily. It was the best her appetite had been in ages.

After breakfast, she took out the jewelry box and immediately handed the sapphire earrings to Diana.

“Can you check if this is the one?” Thalia asked.

85 vouchers

Diana took the earrings and examined them closely, her eyes filled with both relief and excitement. “Yes, that’s it. That’s definitely it.”

She caressed the sapphire earrings, her smile a little dreamy, as if lost in thought.

She seemed to be drifting back to memories from her younger days.

“Back then, Mason was planning a surprise for me, but he kept it a secret. When I visited his house, his mom spilled the beans. I fell for those sapphires at first sight.

“Before he could even hand them over, I just blurted out that I’d already seen them. Mason got so embarrassed. His face was bright red, Diana recalled, her voice soft and nostalgic.

She chuckled as she reminisced.

Thalja listened, and her heart sank a little.

‘Wait, did Mason not give these to Diana himself?’ Thalia wondered, feeling a wave of confusion.

She couldn’t help but remember what Shyla had said before.

But the whole idea just felt ridiculous.

If these weren’t a gift for Diana, then why didn’t Mason say so back then? And why did he end up marrying her?’ Thalia thought, her thoughts in turmoil.

Her mind was all over the place, so Thalia stopped overthinking and just looked at Diana, saying, “People were so reserved back in those days.”

“That’s right,” Diana nodded, tucking the box away safely. “Thalia, I can’t tell you how happy I am that you managed to find this.”

Thalia gave her a warm hug. “If it makes you happy, that’s all I care about.”

Just then, Diana’s phone rang.

Her ringtone was set super loud so she wouldn’t miss a call.

She pulled out her phone, squinting at the screen, and answered, “Hello, Shyla.”

Thalia’s breath caught in her throat. ‘Shyla was actually reaching out to Diana?’ she thought, stunned.
