I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 252

Chapter 252

Shyla was clearly taken aback, as if she hadn’t expected Diana to say that. She instinctively shook her head. I’m not

‘Shyla. I gave birth to you. I know exactly what you’re thinking,” Diana said, her tone growing colder.

You regret that they never got to be together, you resent me as your mother, and you get close to that woman. But you seem to forget, if it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t even exist,” Diana said, her voice icy.

“Then I wish I’d never been born,” Shyla blurted out without thinking.

“What nonsense are you talking about!” Diana snapped.

Thalia couldn’t take it anymore. ‘How could she break Diana’s heart like this?”

“That’s your mother! All you see is your father stuck in a marriage, forced apart from the one he loves. But have you ever thought about how your mother feels?

‘Do you know how much it hurts her to live with a husband who barely cares? Don’t you think she’s hurting now, after learning all this?” Thalia said, her eyes blazing with anger.

“You’re so selfish!” Thalia shouted, her eyes wide with fury.

Shyla’s face turned ugly as Thalia pointed right at her and called her out. She couldn’t help but snap back with a mocking sneer, “And what about you? I’m your mother. What are you doing for me?”

Thalia let out a bitter smile. “If I had a mother who truly loved, cared for, and protected me, I’d never do anything to hurt her.

“You!” Shyla was so angry she could barely get the word out.

When have I ever treated you badly? You…”

‘If you really cared about me, you wouldn’t have brought Miya back,” Thalia replied coldly. “So save your fake concern.”

Shyla’s face turned ashen with rage, her hand trembling as she pointed at Thalia, wanting to yell but unable to catch her breath.

Thalia turned to her, her voice softening. “Grandma, none of that really matters. I’ll always be here for you.”

Diana looked at Shyla as if she were a stranger, then suddenly asked, “Did your father take you to see her? You two seemed to get along so well. That’s how you learned about everything that happened back then, isn’t it?”

Shyla remained silent, her hand pressed to her chest, as if she was struggling with real pain.

Even though Diana had given birth to Shyla after ten months of carrying her, decades of cold indifference had nearly erased the love that should have flowed between them as mother and daughter.

Diana had lost all hope in Shyla.

“Don’t even think about it. Those sapphire earrings are never going to be yours,” Diana said coldly.

Shyla’s eyes widened in disbelief. “How can you do this? You know perfectly well they’re not yours!”

But Diana just replied, “They don’t belong to them either. Those earrings are from the Mcgee family My mother-in-law gave them to me. Naturally, I’ll give them to the family member I actually care about.”

Chapter 252

Shyla was Diana’s only daughter. If she had been wise and patient, she would have inherited everything Diana owned after her death

But now, Shyla had laid everything bare.

Diana finally saw her daughter’s true colors.

So, she had decided not to leave Shyla a single thing.

Diana gently took Thalia’s hand and said, “Sweetie, let’s go.”

Thalia felt reassured. Her grandmother hadn’t backed down, and this was definitely for the best.

She helped her grandmother to her feet and led her out.

Shyla sat blankly on the couch, her face drained of color, eyes clouded with defeat and frustration.

‘Can’t believe I couldn’t get them back,’ she thought, feeling utterly crushed.
