Chapter 254
Thalia went to pour herself a glass of water. When she came back and heard Helen’s words, her brows immediately knitted together.
‘Mom, what are you trying to say?” Thalia asked.
Helen glanced at her and said. “Thalia, why don’t you go wash the fruit?”
Thalia thought, ‘She’s trying to get me out of the way.
This is probably about the divorce.’
Thalia stayed right where she was, her face calm as ever. She said, “If you’re here to talk about Darion and me, just save it. I’ve already spoken to Diana, and she agreed to my divorce.”
Helen was stunned. She looked at Diana in disbelief.
Isn’t it typical for elders to disapprove of divorce?’ Helen wondered.
Thalia and Darion have been married for years.
Divorce isn’t something you can just decide and go through with so easily.’
Diana gave Thalia a warm, gentle smile and nodded. “I’m Thalia’s grandmother. No matter what she decides, I’ll always support her.”
Helen was at a loss for words.
But when she thought about that troublemaker Darion, she couldn’t help but sigh.
‘Diana, to be honest, this is exactly what I wanted to talk about. I just feel like it’d be such a waste if they broke up. Those two went through so much just to be together, and now they’re getting divorced. Doesn’t that mean all that effort was wasted?” Helen said.
Diana smiled gently and said, “They worked so hard back then because they loved each other. Now they’re parting ways because that love is gone. Nothing was wasted. Life only moves forward, and there’s no going back.”
Helen was speechless.
Fine, Helen thought.
I really can’t do anything now.
Thalia had been tense at first, but as soon as she heard Diana’s words, she finally let herself relax.
Having her beloved grandmother’s support meant everything to her.
Thalia switched topics without missing a beat. “Mom, why not stay for dinner tonight?”
‘No, Helen replied, shaking her head.
“Keith’s waiting at home. I should go check on him.”
After all this time together, Helen had gotten really close to Keith.

PPP ppp.
He was her own grandson, and with that familiar face so much like her late son’s, she felt even more caring and affectionate toward him.
Helen turned to Diana. “Diana, you should drop by the old place sometime.”
“Sure, Diana nodded.
Helen turned and walked away with a resigned look.
Thalia immediately went over and wrapped her arms around Diana in a warm, affectionate hug. ‘Grandma, I always feel at ease when you’re by my side.”
Diana smiled softly. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’ll always be here with you.”
Thalia nodded. “Yeah!”
Dinner from the hotel arrived quickly, and the table was filled with all of Diana’s favorite dishes. As she looked at the spread, her eyes briefly clouded with sadness, but it quickly faded away.
Thalia picked out some dishes for her, not noticing the change in her expression. “My work will be wrapped up in about two weeks, and then I’ll come find you. I want to spend some time with you.”
“That sounds wonderful,” Diana said, her smile returning.
Just then, Diana’s phone rang. She picked it up, answered, and after a moment, hung up. She turned to Thalia and said, “Sweetheart, I’ve already had my lawyer go through all my assets and funds.
“I’m transferring everything to your name. I’ll just keep a little for my own retirement. The lawyer will come by for you to sign the papers, so make sure you answer your phone.”
Thalia was caught off guard. “Grandma, why did you suddenly decide to do this? I really don’t want it. Please, just keep it for yourself.”
But Diana replied, “You’re divorcing Darion, and your relationship with your parents isn’t exactly great. How will you manage if you don’t have any money to fall back on?”
