“Once you’re divorced, you’ll need money everywhere. Having a bit more gives you confidence. Don’t say no, Diana said, putting on a stern face. “If you don’t take it, and I’m alone in another city, if anything happens to me, who knows who might end up with it?”
‘Don’t jinx it!’ Thalia thought, quickly stomping her foot.
Thalia quickly stomped her foot. “Don’t say things like that!”
Diana smiled. “I was planning to give it to you anyway, Thalia. Don’t turn it down. If you keep it, I’ll feel more at ease.”
In the end, Thalia could only nod, waves of warmth flooding her heart.
Her own parents had cut off her funds for the sake of their adopted daughter, and if she wanted money, she had to go to great lengths to get it.
But Diana didn’t care about any of that. Just seeing Thalia’s situation made her decide to hand over everything she owned.
Her heart was enveloped in warmth, slowly washing away the lingering bitterness and sorrow.
Once Thalia agreed, Diana finally seemed to let go of a weight on her mind. For the first time in ages, she actually ate quite a bit that night.
After dinner, the two of them went downstairs for a walk.
To their surprise, they ran into Sebastian.
He was walking a white Samoyed in the park.
He was dressed in a simple T-shirt and long pants, giving off a super casual vibe.
“Thalia, who is this?” Sebastian asked.
Thalia smiled and said, “This is my grandmother, Diana. Diana, this is my friend, Sebastian.”
‘Nice to meet you, Diana,” Sebastian said.
Sebastian’s expression grew more serious, and he became noticeably more polite.
Diana smiled kindly at him. “So, how old are you, son?”
Sebastian paused for a moment. Back home, whenever an elder asked about his age, it usually meant they were about to play
matchmaker.
He glanced at Thalia, who was busy petting the dog, and answered, “I’m 29.”
Diana nodded. “Very nice, very nice. Handsome, got great presence, and about the same age as my Thalia.”
Thalia quickly said, “Grandma, don’t go there!”
“I didn’t say anything weird, Diana replied, pretending to be clueless. “You two are just a few years apart, practically peers”

Chapter 255
Thalia shot Sebastian an awkward look. “Sebastian, don’t take it the wrong way.”
Sebastian smiled. amused. “I won’t.”
Then Diana started grilling him about his job, his family, and even how much he makes.
“Wait, this isn’t right!’ Thalia thought.
“Grandma!” Thalia called out.
She quietly pinched Diana’s arm, silently begging her to stop.
‘Honestly, who wouldn’t start overthinking?’ Thalia thought.
But Sebastian just smiled and said, “Diana, you’re just looking out for me. I really appreciate it.”
Diana immediately said, “See? Sebastian’s got a way with words. Why are you always acting so awkward?”
