I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 263

Chapter 263

“It’s done, and it was a success,” Thalia replied, her voice brimming with joy. “Matthew, how did you pull this off? You really saved me this time!”

Matthew smiled. “As long as Diana’s okay, that’s all that matters. It’s really not a big deal, so don’t worry about it. Aren’t we friends? Friends help each other out.”

Thalia was genuinely grateful. “Honestly, I wish I had a dozen friends like you.”

Matthew blinked. “What, are you trying to stock up on friends now?”

Thalia laughed. “Seriously, thank you so much. I’ll definitely pay you back!”

Thalia was extra earnest.

Matthew said casually, “It’s really no big deal. But if you really feel guilty, how about doubling my fee?”

“No problem!” Thalia replied instantly.

With one big worry off her chest and Darion no longer breathing down her neck, Thalia felt on top of the world.

After hanging up, she sat by the hospital bed, grinning ear to ear, unable to stop herself.

Outside the hospital room, Darion Blackburn leaned against the wall, listening to the voices coming from inside.

‘Matthew?

‘Matthew helped her?

‘Since when did he have that kind of influence? How did I not know?’ Darion thought, suspicion creeping in.

Darion’s eyes darkened. ‘Looks like there’s something going on here that I don’t know about.’

His phone buzzed, and he answered, stepping aside as he did.

Ryan’s voice came through. “Mr. Blackburn, I had someone hack into Dr. Williams’s phone and computer. There was an overseas email this morning, but it’s been deleted, and the sender’s address has been wiped clean.”

Darion raised an eyebrow. “So you’re telling me you found nothing?”

Ryan hesitated for a moment before replying, “Yes.”

Interesting. Darion thought, his gaze growing darker, tinged with danger.

“Have a few people keep an eye on Williams, and… check who Matthew’s been talking to recently,” he ordered.

“Yes, sir, Ryan replied.

Darion hung up and headed straight back into the hospital room.

The moment Thalia saw him, her smile disappeared in an instant. Now that she knew he wasn’t dropping the charges, she stopped pretending altogether.

Why are you here?” Thalia said, her voice icy.

Darion shrugged. “We’re not divorced yet, right? So Diana’s my grandmother too, at least for now. I just came to check on

her.”

‘You don’t find your own words disgusting?” Thalia sneered. “Did you forget you used this to threaten me before

I’m out of options here,” Darion admitted, completely unfazed. “Thalia, I don’t want a divorce. I don’t know what else I can do to make you stay, so I’m just doing whatever I can.”

Thalia shot him a cold look. “You really have no shame, saying it like it’s nothing.”

She finished speaking and didn’t spare him another glance.

Darion pulled up a chair and sat down next to her. Even though Thalia treated him with icy indifference, he didn’t seem bothered at all. His gaze lingered on her from time to time, making his presence impossible to ignore.

Darion’s presence was so overwhelming that Thalia couldn’t block him out, no matter how hard she tried. She frowned and
