Thalia took a deep breath and said to Ryan, “I’ll leave things here to you. I’m going to check on Diana

Ryan nodded and said. “I’ll have someone drive you over. You’re really not looking well.”

“Okay.” Thalia replied.

She didn’t refuse.

Her limbs still felt weak, and if she tried to drive herself, she would probably end up in trouble.

The bodyguard escorted her to another hospital.

She went to the restroom first and washed her face, trying to compose herself and look more presentable.

She pushed open the door to the hospital room and saw Diana lying in bed, watching the entrance.

“Diana, Thalia called out.

Thalja threw herself into Diana’s arms, hugging her tightly.

Diana reached out and caressed Thalia’s face. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’m alright.”

Thalia closed her eyes, her heart still racing from the fear.

Her mind was a mess of tangled fears, and she didn’t want to say a word. She just wanted to hold Diana tight.

Diana seemed to get what Thalia was feeling and stayed quiet.

Silence filled the room for a while.

As the lingering fear in Thalia’s heart slowly faded, she finally got up and said, “I never thought she’d actually go that far.”

Diana gave a bitter smile. “Me neither. Looks like that woman really left a mark on her.”

The woman Diana was talking about was the one Shyla referred to as “Vicky.”

She was Mason’s first love.

Thalia took a deep breath and said, “Diana, don’t think about it anymore. I’ll take care of everything from here.”

Diana gave her a complicated look, her lips moving as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she just nodded.

Thalia had the doctor come in and run a full examination on Diana. Once she was sure Diana was alright, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But when Thalia returned to the hospital room, Diana noticed the blood on her sleeve and quickly asked, “Thalia, what’s this blood from?”

Thalia glanced down and realized it probably got there when she accidentally brushed against Darion’s back earlier.

Her eyes flickered for a moment as she reassured her, “I just scratched my arm, but it’s already healed. Really, don’t worry about me. I’m fine.”

Hearing that. Diana finally relaxed.

Thalia replaced all the caregivers and even added one more. She also called Dax to have two bodyguards stationed outside the room, making sure Shyla wouldn’t be allowed in if she tried to show up again.

After making sure Diana was safe and everything was taken care of, Thalia walked out of the hospital. It was time to confront Shyla and make her pay.

She dialed Zane’s number.

“Ms. Coleman, I heard about what happened today. Are you alright?” Zane asked, his voice full of concern.

Thalia replied, “I’m fine, but I need you to do something for me.”

“Just say the word,” Zane said.
