I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 301

Chapter 301

Helen sat back down, her face pale and exhausted. She glanced at Thalia, her eyes clouded with complicated emotions.

Thalia, I don’t know who you’ve angered, but you and Darion can’t be together anymore. You’ll only bring trouble to him. I’ve already lost one son. I can’t lose Darion too.”

Her voice sounded tired, laced with pain.

Thalia remained silent, the stark white lights in the hallway making her look even more washed out.

“Emely Blackburn was truly exceptional. When she first took over the company, she made a real difference. Her father and I always believed in her. She never gave us a single worry growing up…” Helen said.

Her eyes shimmered with memories, but soon, overwhelming grief clouded her expression.

Emely was on a business trip abroad when her plane tragically crashed into the ocean. Even now, they still haven’t found any trace of the wreckage.

At first, they used every connection they had to search for her, but it was all in vain.

It wasn’t until they pulled Emely’s backpack from the depths of the sea, her ID still inside, that the truth finally hit. They had lost him forever.

Even after four years, the pain hadn’t faded in the slightest.

Every time Helen remembered it, the grief was so unbearable she sometimes wished she could just disappear, too.

“That’s why Darion can’t be in danger. He absolutely can’t…” Helen’s gaze grew more resolute.

“You’ve always wanted a divorce. Let’s settle this while he’s out cold. I know the court date is in two days, but with Darion like this, there’s no way he can show up. The hearing will get pushed back.”

Thalia’s long lashes quivered, and she finally spoke. “Okay, I’ll go along with your plan.”

She really didn’t want to get anyone else hurt because of her.

And she was going to find out who was behind all this, no matter what.

Helen managed a gentle smile. “Thalia, you really are such a thoughtful, good kid.”

Thalia didn’t say a word.

An hour later.

Ryan came back with the papers.

Helen took the papers and gave them a careful look. Then she said, “Thalia, do you want to check them over? If there’s anything you don’t like, just tell me and I’ll add it.”

“It’s fine.” Thalia replied, shaking her head.

“I’ll just sign.” she said.

She took the pen Ryan handed her and signed the divorce papers.

Then Helen stood up with the papers and walked into the ICU.

Ryan followed her in, still trying to talk her out of it. “Mrs. Blackburn, maybe we should wait until Mr Blackburn wakes up before doing this…”

But Helen was firm. There’s no way I’m letting my son get hurt.”

Ryan had nothing left to say.

When they entered Darion’s hospital room, he was still unconscious, an oxygen mask strapped to his face.

Helen set the papers aside, gently placed the pen between his fingers, then wrapped her hand around his and helped him sign his name on the document.
