I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 313

Chapter 313

& Chems

Dax looked at her, puzzled. “Ms. Coleman, do you have some kind of special background? Otherwise, why would people from overseas want to kill you?”

Thalia gave a wry smile and shook her head. ‘No, I don’t. I’m Trenton and Shyla’s daughter. I even had a DNA test done to prove it.

Confusion flickered across Dax’s rugged face as he scratched his head. “That’s really strange.”

At another hospital.

Ryan Johnson was reporting the information he’d gathered to Darion Blackburn.

“Matthew?”

Darion murmured the name, remembering how Thalia had used Matthew to pressure Dr. Williams last time.

Matthew’s background was pretty straightforward, but he’d spent many years overseas.

He turned to Ryan, his tone cold. “Investigate his activities abroad over the past years.”

“Understood, Ryan replied with a nod.

But he hesitated, then asked, “Mr. Blackburn, could this be a misunderstanding? I checked, and Matthew’s family is at the same nursing home.”

Darion’s voice was cool as he said, “There aren’t that many coincidences in this world.”

Besides, he wasn’t going to let any clue slip past him.

Those people in the shadows were after Thalia’s life.

He’d never allow something like that to happen.

Ryan nodded. “Understood.”

As Ryan turned to leave the hospital room, Darion pulled out his phone and called Thalia.

‘Sorry, the person you’re calling is on another call…”

Darion’s temple twitched as he listened to the icy automated voice.

She’d blocked him.

He clenched his phone, his expression darkening, but he managed to steady himself.

The next second, his phone rang. Without even looking at the screen, he picked up right away. “Hey, Thalia?”

“Darion, it’s me,” Miya said.

He froze for a moment. It wasn’t Thalia, but Miya.

Darion’s tone cooled instantly “Miya, what’s up?”

Miya sounded down. “Is there any way my company can keep going?”

56 vouchers

Darion replied coolly. “Of course. I’ll invest and send a team to help run things. Once you’re ready to handle it yourself, my people will pull out.”

Miya gave a bitter smile. “Thalia’s already started targeting the Colemans. She’s coming for me, and maybe you’ll be next. I don’t want to see you two fighting like this. Please, don’t invest. Just let me take Keith and leave.”

“No.” Darion said, his voice resolute. “Keith has to stay with the Blackburn family. If you want to leave, that’s your choice.”

Miya was stunned for a moment.

Her breath hitched as she asked, “Darion, do you really not care who it was that saved you all those years ago?”

Darion replied coolly, “I’ve done everything you asked, Miya. I think I’ve repaid what I owed you, haven’t I?”

Miya fell silent, then murmured, “I understand. I’ll take care of the company.”

She was accepting his offer.

It was as if she’d resigned herself to it.

“That’s all, I’m hanging up,” Darion said, not waiting for Miya to reply. He ended the call right then.

Thalia’s coming after me?

Hasn’t she always been after me?

All that stuff was just a misunderstanding, but she’s the one who keeps obsessing over it, Darion thought.

He rubbed his temples, staring at her name and their photo on his phone. His eyes brimmed with longing.

After wrapping up the first topic, Dax then brought up another point.

Dax scratched his head and said, “I looked into Miya’s parents. Turns out, they knew your folks, and seemed to get along pretty well. But for some reason, there’s less and less info about them these days. Maybe only your parents and Diana really know what’s going on.”
