Helen was terrified. She hurried upstairs, pushed open the bedroom door, and saw Miya collapsed on the floor, a blood-stained dagger lying in front of her. Miya’s face was deathly pale, her eyes filled with panic and
fear.
“What the hell happened?” Helen demanded, grabbing Miya by the shoulders.
“I don’t know… I don’t know…” Miya stammered, shaking her head desperately.
Miya’s face was drained of all color, and her voice shook as she spoke.
Miya entered the room as planned, but just as she was about to approach him, his voice, gentle only a second ago, suddenly turned cold.
“You’re not Thalia,” Darion said, his tone absolutely certain.
His voice was unwavering, leaving no room for doubt.
Then, he turned on the light.
Miya was scared, but she knew Darion had been drugged and was probably in a lot of pain, so she braced herself and stepped forward.
“Thalia sent me. She said you weren’t feeling well and asked me to check on you. Darion, are you okay?” Miya said as she reached out, trying to touch him.
“Get out!” Darion shouted, shoving her away, his breath coming in short, angry bursts.
His body was completely under the drug’s control, his mind racing with wild, uncontrollable urges. He knew he had to get out of here, right now.
Then, Miya watched in shock as Darion yanked open the drawer, grabbed a dagger, and, with a fierce, desperate look, stabbed his left arm three times without hesitation.
Each time the blade struck, his eyes sharpened, the fog in his mind lifting bit by bit.
After the third stab, he snapped back to himself. He dropped his gaze, let out a low, bitter chuckle, and the dagger slipped from his hand to the floor. Barely steady, he staggered out of the room.
Just thinking about what had happened made Miya’s teeth chatter with fear.
She’d never seen Darion like this before, so merciless, so unforgiving.
Most of the time, he was gentle and polite, with that same noble air as Emely.
But just now, he looked like a demon clawing his way out of hell, his eyes filled with a cruel, wild menace that made her feel like she didn’t even know him anymore.
Helen refused to believe it. “How could you not know? It was just the two of you in here! Why don’t you just

tell me what really happened?”
Miya stood up, tears streaming down her face. “He’d rather hurt himself than even touch me. That’s all there is, nothing more!”
Helen froze for a moment, then turned and walked out, her face ashen.
“This is bad… Really bad… Helen thought, her heart pounding with fear.
The whole plan was a bust.
Darion was definitely going after Thalia now.
‘What is he going to do?’ Helen fretted, her thoughts spinning out of control.
She had no clue what to do next, just left waiting, nervous and helpless.
Thalia answered quietly, “He came to see me, but now he’s at the hospital.”
Helen paused for a moment before asking, “What did he say to you?”
“He agreed to the divorce,” Thalia replied softly, then gave a faint smile. “Isn’t that good? No matter how it happened, I got what I wanted.”
