Chapter 346
‘We’re not even divorced yet, and she’s already looking for someone new?’ Darion thought, his jaw tightening.
He let out a cold, mocking laugh.
Without hesitation, Darion called his bodyguards. “Don’t bother telling me anything about her anymore. If you do, I’ll dock your pay!”
With that, he hung up, his face cold and unreadable.
The two bodyguards were at a loss for words.
They exchanged glances, both completely lost.
‘What the heck does that mean?
‘Wasn’t it Mr. Blackburn’s order to keep him updated on Thalia’s movements?
‘Now he doesn’t want any updates? What’s going on?’
One of the bodyguards asked, “Should we ask Ryan for advice?”
The other nodded. “Sounds good to me.”
They went ahead and contacted Ryan.
Ryan sighed and said, “Just keep tailing her and snapping pics. Ignore what Mr. Blackburn says. He always talks tough but never really means it.”
The two bodyguards hesitated. “What about our pay?”
Ryan replied, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure finance sorts it out for you.”
The two bodyguards breathed a sigh of relief and stopped worrying about it.
At Maplewood Estate, Thalia stepped out of the car, her cheeks flushed.
The drinks had really caught up with her on the way over, and now her head was spinning even more.
“Sebastian, I… I need to head home,” Thalia said, waving at him. “Goodbye, and thanks for your hospitality.”
Sebastian saw her swaying unsteadily and quickly moved to steady her. “Let me take you home. I can’t let you go like this.”
“I’m fine!” Thalia said, waving her hand. “Really, I’m okay.”
She waved him off again. “I can do this myself.”

But Sebastian insisted, “I’ll just walk you to the elevator. Come on, don’t turn me down.”

He took her arm, a bit more firmly this time, and guided her toward the entrance of the building.
“Thalia!”
Suddenly, Jason called out.
He rushed over, pushed Sebastian out of the way, and grabbed Thalia’s arm. “Thalia, why did you drink so much? Come on, let’s get you home.”
Thalia squinted at him, her speech sluggish and tipsy. “Who are you?”
Jason’s mouth twitched. “Thalia, it’s me, Jason. We’ve known each other for years. How could you forget me?”
“Oh… Darion’s sidekick,” Thalia mumbled.
She pointed at him, identifying him.
Jason was like, “Yeah, yeah, I’m Darion’s sidekick. Come on, let me take you home. You can’t be out here alone like this. It’s not safe.”
Then Jason turned to Sebastian. “No need for you to step in, Sebastian. I’ll take Thalia home myself.”
Sebastian’s gentle face turned a bit cold as he looked at Thalia. “Thalia, do you actually know him?”
“Hey, did you not hear me? She’s my sister-in-law! We’ve known each other way longer than you have, Sebastian. So stop meddling!” Jason snapped, clearly annoyed. He could totally see Sebastian was trying to steal Thalia away.
‘Like hell I’m letting that happen, Jason thought.
Thalia and Darion aren’t even divorced yet. Jason had to make sure Darion kept Thalia on his side.
Sebastian’s eyes flashed behind his glasses. “I don’t know what history you two have, so I can’t just trust you. What if you’re up to something with her?”
‘Seriously?’ Jason thought, raising an eyebrow.
‘Isn’t it you who’s actually after her?’ Jason retorted inwardly.
Jason was getting impatient.
Thalia slurred, “Jason, take me home… I want to go home.”
Jason grinned, looked Sebastian up and down, and said, “See? You heard her. Step aside. Thalia is drunk and needs to get home and rest.”
Sebastian gave Thalia a conflicted look, then slowly stepped back.
