I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 347

Chapter 347

The elevator doors slid open, and Jason helped Thalia to her apartment door.

Thalia pushed him away. “Alright, I’m home. You should go now.”

Jason let go of her and said, “Alright, I’ll head out.”

He turned to step into the elevator, but then hesitated and couldn’t help asking, “Thalia, do you really not love Darion anymore?”

Thalia had already opened the door and didn’t answer his question. She just closed the door behind her.

Jason, feeling a bit awkward after being snubbed, headed back into the elevator.

He pulled out his phone and shot off a quick text.

Jason: [Darion, she’s home.]

He didn’t get a reply, not that he expected one, so he just left.

Thalia took a shower, and the buzz was fading, though her mind was still a bit foggy. She poured herself a glass of honey water.

Just then, her phone buzzed.

Sebastian: [I made some hangover soup. Want some? It’ll help you feel better tomorrow. No headache, no misery.]

Thalia: [No, thanks. I’m good now.]

Sebastian: [Alright, glad to hear it.]

Thalia set her phone down on the table, propping her head up with her hand as she rubbed her temples.

She couldn’t stop thinking about that familiar figure she’d seen at the pub.

Just then, her phone rang. It was Dax.

Dax said, “Ms. Coleman, I looked into it for you. A few days ago, Darion sent Helen abroad. He was planning to send Miya with her, but Miya ran off at the airport and no one’s seen her since.”

Thalia looked up. “Could that have been her at the pub?”

Dax paused, then said, “It’s possible, but I still haven’t figured out who helped her or where she’s hiding.”

Thalia suddenly felt uneasy, though she couldn’t quite explain why.

‘Miya’s gone. What is she planning?’ Thalia thought.

Her mind was still foggy, slowing her thoughts.

She sighed and said, “Keep me safe without drawing attention. She must hate me the most right now.”

Dax’s voice took on a more solemn note. “Rest assured, Thalia. I’ve got your back.”

After a few hectic days, the recording project was nearly finished.

Diana was getting better by the day, so she was discharged and returned to Maplewood Estate to rest up.

Thalia kept the same caregivers around, and also brought in a lady to handle the cooking.

Diana really wished she could just go back home.

Thalia said, “Grandma, you’re not fully recovered yet. Who’s going to take care of you if you go back? Just stay here and rest for now. Once you’re better, I won’t stop you from leaving.”

Diana nodded sweetly. “Alright, I’ll listen to you.”

Thalia smiled and kept Diana company as they watched TV together.

Before she knew it, a week had flown by.
