I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 358

Chapter 358

“Darion? Darion, are you in here?”

Just as the awkward silence lingered, the storage room door suddenly swung open.

Jason’s booming voice rang out from the hallway.

But the moment he saw two people locked in an embrace inside, he quickly shut the door behind him.

“Darion’s not here, maybe he went out. I’ll call him,” Jason said.

His voice faded away as he walked off.

Thalia shoved Darion aside and opened the storage room door.

The other guests were already trickling out of the private rooms, their faces tense and serious. Some looked scared, others uneasy.

Only after Thalia stepped out did she notice a girl lying injured on the floor. The club’s medical staff was busy bandaging her wounds.

“Ms. Coleman!”

As soon as Dax spotted her, he hurried over.

Thalia shot him a look. “Didn’t you say this place was safe?”

Dax scratched his head, looking guilty.

“He can’t possibly check everyone here. You know you’re being targeted, but instead of staying home, you keep running to crowded places. What, do you have a death wish or something?”

Darion’s cool, steady voice came from behind her.

He was openly mocking her, not holding back at all.

Thalia clenched her fists, took a deep breath, and decided to completely tune him out.

Dax looked at Darion with mixed feelings.

He’d actually been watching Thalia the whole time. When those men tried to force her into a private room, he was already moving to step in.

But then Darion suddenly appeared and pulled Thalia away.

How could he even follow after that?

Could he really stop Darion?

Chapter 358

He was caught between two big shots. Damned if he did, damned if he didn’t.

Maybe this gig just wasn’t worth it anymore.

Maybe Ms. Coleman should just find someone else.

But then he thought, ‘Would anyone else really not be tangled up with Darion?’

Darion even knew that asshole Ethan Doyle.

After thinking it over, Dax just let it go.

“Ms. Coleman, we can’t leave yet. The cops will be here soon. They need to check things out and make sure we’re in the clear before we can go,” Dax said.

Thalia nodded. “Alright, got it.”

Thalia looked around and asked, “Has anyone seen Wendy Adkins?”

“Is he your bodyguard or someone else’s? He couldn’t even protect you, and now you’re worried about other people?” Darion’s sarcastic voice rang out from behind her again.

Thalia was speechless.

She chose to keep ignoring him.

She grabbed her phone and dialed Wendy’s number.

After three rings, Wendy’s anxious voice burst through the line. “Thalia, finally! I’ve been trying to reach you. Are you alright?”

“I’m okay, how about you?” Thalia replied.

“I’m right outside the club. When I looked back, the place was already sealed off. I was freaking out. Someone was screaming inside. Are you hurt?” Wendy asked, her voice trembling with worry.

“I’m okay, don’t be scared. I found a good spot to hide,” Thalia reassured her.

“It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t asked you to come, none of this would’ve happened…” Wendy said, sounding really guilty.

Thalia patiently reassured her, “Really, I’m fine. It’s getting late. Go home and get some rest. I’ll message you when I get home. I’ve got a bodyguard with me, so I’ll be safe.”

She emphasized it again, hoping Wendy would feel reassured.

“I’m staying right here until you come out. I won’t be able to relax until I see you,” Wendy said firmly.

Thalia rubbed her forehead and agreed, “Alright, but make sure you stay safe out there.”
