Given the way things are right now, Thalia just couldn’t open her own studio. The risks were simply too high and unpredictable.
There was no way she could rest easy until she figured out who was out to get her.
Thalia pressed her hand to her forehead and lowered her eyes.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
“Ms. Coleman, Mr. Flynn is here.”
Alice’s voice came from the doorway.
Thalia stood up and walked over. When she opened the door, she saw Sebastian standing there, holding a thermos, his face behind his glasses lit up with a gentle smile.
“Thalia, you’re looking much better today. Looks like you’re back on your feet,” Sebastian said.
Thalia nodded. “Yeah, thanks to your soup. It really worked wonders.”
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. “Maybe I should get a patent for this. Who knows, I could make a fortune off it for the rest of my life.”
“I think you’ve got a shot,” Thalia replied.
They shared a smile.
He handed the thermos to Alice, then walked over to Thalia and passed her a folder.
Thalia glanced at him, a bit confused. “What’s this?”
“Open it and see,” Sebastian said, raising an eyebrow.
Thalia headed into the study. “Sebastian, make yourself at home.”
Alice brought in some water, set it down, and then slipped out of the room.
Thalia opened the folder and pulled out the documents. A look of surprise crossed her face.
“A partnership?” Thalia asked.
“Yeah,” Sebastian nodded. “Flynn Group’s an old player, mostly dealing in real estate and new energy. I’m thinking about breaking into the entertainment world, starting with a studio to test the waters.
“Right now, it’s all about the voice-over scene, and honestly, you’re the pro among my friends, so you were the first person who came to mind.”
He fixed his eyes on her, all seriousness. “Thalia, do you want to work together on this?”

Thalia frowned, set the documents aside, and met his gaze. “Sebastian, honestly, there’s danger hanging over me. If you work with me, you could get caught up in it…”
Sebastian just replied, “When I first came back and someone tried to kill me, you were there. You were scared, but you didn’t distance yourself from me, did you?”
‘That’s different, Thalia thought.
“No, it’s the same,” Sebastian said with a gentle smile. “I’ve got danger around me too, but you can’t just hide because of it. If you do, you’ll never figure out who’s really after you. Sometimes you have to step out and take a risk. Fortune favors the bold, right?”
Thalia gripped the documents tighter in her hand.
Her heart stirred.
