I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 37

Chapter 37 Motherfuckers

Thalia’s eyes were burning with anger, and she was about to cry. “Let go of me!”

Darion had already stood up, his dark, hawk-like eyes pinning her in place. “Calm down, and I’ll let go.”

Thalia let out a bitter, mocking laugh, her eyes reddening even more.

She yanked her hand away with all her strength. “Darion, I really misjudged you. How the hell did I ever fall in love with someone like you?”

Darion’s expression soured. He thought, ‘She’d burst in screaming nonsense, tried to hit Miya, and now she’s acting like she regrets loving me? What the hell is wrong with her?’

“If you’ve got a problem, take it out on me. Don’t go throwing punches at her.” he said, his voice low and

serious.

Thalia didn’t hesitate for a second. She lifted her hand and slapped him hard across the cheek.

“Darion!” Miya gasped in shock.

Her eyes widened as she stared at Thalia, completely stunned. “Lia, why the hell did you hit him? What did he even do?”

“Motherfuckers,” Thalia spat, her voice dripping with contempt.

She stepped back, her eyes burning with rage. “Darion, I want a divorce. Being married to you makes me sick.”

She brushed away her tears and turned to leave.

“Thalia!” Darion called out, forced himself out of bed, reaching to grab her, but his body was still weak. He stumbled, nearly falling over.

Miya hurried to support him. “Darion, don’t go after her. You have to look after yourself. I’ll go talk to her. She must have misunderstood something.”

Darion’s head spun, and he sank onto the edge of the bed to steady himself. “Miya, don’t.”

Miya looked anxious. “But she’s about to file for divorce! I have to stop her.”

Darion’s temples throbbed, his face darkening. He shut his eyes, his voice low and menacing. “No sane lawyer would take her case. And even if anyone does, they’re picking a fight with me.”

At Darion’s words, a flash of something cold and calculating crossed Miya’s eyes, only to vanish in an instant.

She exhaled in obvious relief. “That’s a relief. As long as you two stay married. I’d be ruined if people thought I’ d come between you.”

Darion dismissed her, “Miya, you should go home. Keith still needs you.”

“Alright, have a good rest,” Miya nodded and turned to leave.

Darion immediately called his assistant and issued a firm order: no one was to take on Thalia’s divorce case under any circumstances.

Thalia visited a law firm, ready to sue for divorce from Darion. But the lawyer wouldn’t even discuss it. He rejected her immediately.

She refused to give up. Thalia hit up several more firms, but all of them turned her away. It was as if the whole city was working against her.

Thalia stood alone on the street, her shoulders hunched as if she bore the weight of the world. She was crushed beyond words, unable to shed even one tear.

She knew only Darion possessed the power to make every law firm shut its doors on her.

Thalia clutched at the fabric over her chest, and the pain was so intense that it felt like a knife twisting in her heart.

Chapter 37 Motherfuckers

Thalia wondered bitterly, ‘How could he do this to me? Eight years together, and I even saved his life back then. Does none of that mean anything to him anymore?’

Thalia’s eyes were empty, and she drifted through the streets like the walking dead, with no idea where she was going.
