Chapter 378
Thalia withdrew her inquisitive gaze, trying to suppress the lingering doubts in her heart.
It was getting late, so after paying the bill, the two of them went their separate ways.

Thalia got back into the car, where Dax was already in the driver’s seat. He asked, “Ms. Coleman, did you notice anything unusual?”
Thalia shook her head. “He felt genuine to me. He really has no reason to keep me from getting a divorce.”
Dax said, “Then it could be Sebastian.”
“Yeah.”
Thalia nodded, planning to find an opportunity to see where Sebastian stands.
The car pulled into the underground parking lot of the Maplewood Estate.
Thalia opened the door and stepped out, but as soon as she did, someone walked right up to her and grabbed her wrist.
She was startled and looked up, only to see Darion standing there.
Her brows furrowed in surprise and annoyance, and she instinctively tried to pull away. “What are you doing? Let go of me!”
Dax quickly stepped forward to block him. “Hey, what do you think you’re doing?”
Darion shot Dax a frosty look, and Dax couldn’t help but shiver, but he pretended not to notice and kept blocking him.
‘You’ve got to be kidding me!’ Dax thought.
‘If I just turn around and leave now, there’s no way Ms. Coleman will let me keep my job.
‘And not only Thalia, even Zane would probably tear me a new one!’
Darion ignored Dax and leaned in, speaking quietly to Thalia. “Let’s talk in my car. It’s about the nanny. Once we’re done, you can go.”
Thalia paused, remembering the files he’d sent her before.
She hesitated for a second, then looked at Dax and said, “Wait out here.”
Dax nodded. “Got it.”
Darion released her wrist and walked ahead.
Thalia rubbed her wrist, still feeling the trace of his touch lingering on her skin.

Once they got in the car, it felt even darker inside.
She asked, “Do you have any leads?”

Darion handed her a file and said, “Matthew Evans is the one keeping tabs on you, and Sebastian’s the one standing in your way.”
She gave him a skeptical look. “How do you know so much about this?”
Darion’s intense gaze fixed on her. “Do you trust me?”
Thalia pursed her lips, hesitating.
Darion said, “Your divorce certificate will be ready tomorrow. Post on Instagram and make it clear you’re going to pick it up. If the same thing happens again, then we’ll know for sure it’s Sebastian.”
He let out a low chuckle. “He’s not an easy guy to deal with. I’ve always told you to stay away from him, but now it looks like I should be grateful to him instead?”
Thalia took the file, pushed open the car door, and threw out, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Then she left without another word.
