I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 381

Chapter 381

His eyes grew colder, and his face turned grim.

After a moment, he scoffed, “Perfect.”

Someone had made a monkey out of him.

He slammed his fist onto the steering wheel, a cold, menacing vibe filling the air around him.

Thalia hadn’t even made it home yet when her phone rang again. It was Bonnie.

“Hey, Bonnie,” Thalia answered.

Bonnie’s voice was trembling with fear. “Ms. Coleman, please, help me. I’m so scared. Please, you have to help me.”

Thalia slammed on the brakes, her brows knitting together. “What’s going on? What happened?”

Bonnie sobbed, “I came out to look for a job, but I have no idea where I am. The person who was supposed to interview me never showed up. I’m so scared. I don’t have any friends here. You’re the only one I could think of, Ms. Coleman. Can you come help me?”

Thalia asked, “Did you try to find a way

out?”

“All the doors are locked. I can’t get out,” Bonnie cried, her voice trembling with panic. “The main door is locked too. I’ll text you on WhatsApp.”

With that, she hung up, but Thalia waited and waited, and no WhatsApp message ever came through.

Thalia’s heart sank.

At that very moment, Sebastian’s name flashed across her screen.

“Sebastian,” Thalia answered, her voice urgent.

“Something happened to Bonnie,” she blurted out.

Sebastian replied, “She called me earlier, but I was in a meeting and couldn’t answer. She messaged me saying she was locked in. I figured she might reach out to you. What did she say?”

Thalia quickly repeated what Bonnie had told her, then asked, “Does the photo show where she is?”

Sebastian said, “She only sent me a text, so there’s no way to pinpoint the location from the photo. But I’ve already got someone looking into the background in the picture. We should be able to figure it out.”

But that was way too slow.

Thalia said, “I’ll have my team look into it too. We’ll track her down as soon as we can.”

“Alright,” Sebastian replied.

Bonnie had reached out to her, and if anything really went down, Thalia might get blamed for it.

So, to keep herself out of trouble, she needed to find Bonnie before things got messy.

She shot a message to Dax, filling him in on what was going on.

Dax nodded and replied, “Ms. Coleman, just head home and stay there. Don’t go out. Wait for my update.”

“Alright,” Sebastian replied.

With danger lurking around her, there was no way she was going to wander around outside.

She fired up the car and headed toward Maplewood Estate, but at the next intersection, she hit a roadblock. There’d been an accident up ahead, and no cars could get through.

Thalia had no choice but to turn around and take a detour. The new route was longer, and as she drove, she realized a few cars had started following her. The ones beside her kept pace, while the car in front stayed just far enough ahead to block her from passing.

She was basically trapped, forced to keep moving forward as the cars boxed her in and steered her in a single direction.

Thalia’s heart sank.

She was completely surrounded. Cars in front, behind, and on both sides, boxing her in.
