I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 385

Chapter 385

Thalia said, “I’ve got something going on here, so I can’t come over to see her. Can you keep an eye on her for me?”

Sebastian replied, “She’s fine. She just got a bit shaken up. A few days of rest and she’ll be back to normal.”

After a pause, he added, “Besides, it wouldn’t really be appropriate for me to look after her.”

Thalia smacked her forehead. “Sorry, I wasn’t thinking straight…”

Sebastian asked with concern, “Is something wrong?”

“Yeah, I’m not feeling too well. I’m going to get some rest,” Thalia replied.

Thalia wasn’t in the mood to chat, so she just gave a couple of perfunctory replies and hung up.

Dax said, clearly worried, “Ms. Coleman, maybe you should go home and get some rest?”

Thalia shook her head. “Not until I know for sure he’s alright.”

She was filled with conflicting emotions as she stared at the entrance to the emergency room.

Thank goodness, he was out in less than two hours. None of his injuries were life-threatening, and all his wounds had been stitched up. With a bit of rest, he’d be back on his feet in no time.

Once the doctors and nurses had left the room, Thalia sat down in a chair, her eyes fixed on his pale, unconscious face.

Recently, it seemed like he was always getting injured.

And every single time… it was because of her.

She wanted to just shut her mind off and stop thinking about it, but she couldn’t escape the truth. He kept throwing himself in front of danger for her, those bloody moments flashing through her memory again and again.

Thalia’s mind was a mess. She could barely think at all.

The room was so quiet, all Thalia could hear was her own breathing. Her gaze was vacant, fixed on the distance, so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t even notice when Darion Blackburn opened his eyes.

“Thalia.”

His voice was so hoarse it barely sounded like him. Thalia jolted back to herself, startled, and realized Darion was awake.

She rushed to his side. “How are you feeling?”

“It hurts… everywhere,” Darion muttered, his voice hoarse.

Thalia’s brows knitted together. She stood up quickly. “I’ll go see if the doctor can give you something for the pain, okay?”

Chapter 385

But as she turned to leave. Darion gently held her wrist.

His palm wasn’t even warm anymore, and his grip was so feeble that she could’ve easily pulled free if she wanted.

But this time, she didn’t pull away.

“Are you hurt?” Darion asked, his voice hoarse.

Thalia caught his question.

Thalia looked at him and replied, “I’m okay. I stayed in the car the whole time. You fought them all off.”

“So, was I impressive?” Darion asked, his voice still rough but with a playful undertone.

His dark eyes fixed on her, and his gaze was unusually gentle.

Thalia’s nose prickled with the threat of tears, but she fought to keep her emotions in check. “Darion, we’re getting divorced. You don’t have to go this far for me…”

Her voice shook as she spoke, laced with fear and uncertainty.

She felt utterly uncertain about her own future.

Darion tightened his grip on her wrist, just a little. “We’re still married, aren’t we? As long as you’re my wife, even if it’s just for one more day, I’m responsible for you. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

Tears rolled down Thalia’s cheeks. She bit her lip, trying to keep herself together, but her emotions just spilled over.

She was terrified.
