I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 404

Chapter 404

Shyla’s body trembled as Trenton supported her. She looked at Thalia with deep anguish. “Thalia, we love you…”

“Maybe so,” Thalia replied.

Thalia stood up and looked at her coldly. “I don’t know why you always pamper and favor Miya, can’t stand to see her suffer even a little. I used to mind it a lot, but now that I know I’m not your biological daughter, I suddenly stopped caring.”

“That’s not true, Thalia…” Shyla tried to say more.

Shyla tried to say more.

But Trenton interrupted, “She’s made up her mind. Even if she’s not our real daughter, we’ve raised her for over twenty years. She’s just an ungrateful brat. Why bother talking to her?”

“Trenton, that’s not true. You shouldn’t think that way…” Shyla shook her head, disagreeing with him.

“She’s our daughter, the precious child we’ve always longed for. We…” Shyla said, then suddenly started coughing violently, her face looked even worse.

“Shyla, stop talking. I’ll call the doctor,” Trenton said, his expression changing as he saw her condition. He helped her onto the bed and hurried to call the doctor.

Shyla finally started coughing up blood. It was a frightening sight.

Diana instinctively stood up and walked over to hold her hand. “Shyla…”

Shyla clutched Diana’s hand, desperate to say something, but the more anxious she got, the harder she coughed. She just couldn’t say a word.

The doctor arrived quickly, gave her an injection, and then wheeled her away for further examination.

The room fell silent.

Trenton shot Thalia a cold look. “You shouldn’t have brought this up right now. Her body can’t take it.”

Thalia met his gaze calmly. “So when should I say it? I think now is just right.”

Trenton hesitated, his brows furrowing. “You…”

“Thalia, you’re really heartless. Seeing her suffer like that, doesn’t it bother you at all?”

Thalia gave a mocking smirk. “If it were the old me, I would’ve felt terrible for her. But now? I don’t.”

After surviving several brushes with death, she was finally starting to come to terms with it.

She just didn’t want to be entangled with them anymore.

“What a thankless child,” Trenton spat, his brows furrowed in anger.

Chapter 101

“Mr. Coleman, mind your words.”

Darion finally spoke up, his gaze icy as he stared at Trenton. “She’s not your daughter. You don’t get to mistreat her however you please. Hearing you insult her, I don’t like it.”

“I’ve raised her for over twenty years! Why shouldn’t I scold her?” Trenton snapped, his anger flaring even

hotter at Darion’s words.

Darion narrowed his eyes dangerously, and his presence seemed to fill the room with a suffocating chill.

“Grandma, should we leave now?” Thalia asked softly.

Diana shook her head. “Let’s wait until she gets back from the exam.”

Thalia’s eyes flickered with mixed emotions, but she nodded. “Alright, I’ll stay with you.”

“Since you’re not my kid, you really shouldn’t be holding onto the Coleman Group shares,” Trenton said, his tone icy as he stared at her.

Thalia nodded. “You’re right. I shouldn’t keep them. I’ll give the shares back to you. Whenever you’re ready, just let me know.”

“Let’s settle it in the next few days,” Trenton said.

“Sure,” Thalia replied.

Diana watched all this happen, her brow knitted tightly.

‘After all those years raising Thalia, he calls her cold and unfeeling. But isn’t he just the same?’ Diana thought to herself.
