I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 413

Chapter 413

Thalia paused, her expression faltering for a moment. “I’m putting the studio on hold for now.”

Bonnie blinked in surprise. “What? Why?”

“I’ve got some other stuff to take care of first. Once that’s all sorted, I’ll think about opening the studio again,” Thalia replied.

Bonnie bit her lip, her eyes flickering with determination. “Then… I’ll find another job and work hard to pay you back!”

Thalia smiled gently. “No rush. You should focus on finishing your studies first.”

But Bonnie was resolute. “I’ll do well in school and work hard to earn money too. Ms. Coleman, you’ve been so good to me. I won’t let you down.”

The girl was so determined and full of strength. She was definitely destined for a bright future.

She stood up. “I’ll go wash some fruit.”

Thalia looked a little surprised. “Aren’t you going to hang out with your friend?”

Bonnie shook her head. “No, he’s already resting.”

After a pause, she added, “I’ll keep you company for a bit. It’s gotta be boring being here alone.”

“Sure,” Thalia replied.

Thalia really was bored, and having someone to chat with wasn’t bad at all.

Bonnie washed the fruit and even peeled an apple for her. Then she glanced at the time and asked, “Ms. Coleman, are you staying here tonight?”

Thalia took a bite of the apple and nodded. “Yeah, that’s the plan, unless something unexpected happens.”

Bonnie said, “Keeping someone company like this can be pretty exhausting. Want me to help out?”

“No need,” Thalia replied, shaking her head. “I’ll hire a professional caregiver.”

Bonnie’s eyes flickered with uncertainty, and after hesitating for a while, she said, “I have experience caring for sick people. How about I do it instead of hiring a caregiver? That way, I can pay off my debt.”

Thalia looked a bit surprised. “You really can?”

“Yeah, I can!” Bonnic nodded. “My mom is paralyzed, and I’ve always taken care of her.”

“And now that you’re out, is your mom alright?” Thalia asked.

Bonnie shook her head. “No, it’s fine. I took care of everything for her before I left.”

Thalia said, “As long as it doesn’t interfere with taking care of your mom, you’re more than welcome to stay. You don’t need to be here all day, just three hours a day, whenever works for you.”

Chapter 413

Bonnie was genuinely excited. “Thanks so much, Ms. Coleman!”

Thalia shook her head. “No need to be so formal. I’m older than you, so you can just use my name.”

Bonnie looked a bit shy. “Thalia.”

“Yeah, that’s way more comfortable,” Thalia said with a gentlé smile.

Bonnie turned and walked over to the hospital bed. Seeing Darion sweating, she said, “I’ll fetch some water and help him freshen up. He’s really sweating a lot.”

She slipped right into her new role.

Thalia nodded. “Okay.”

Bonnie moved fast, coming back in no time with a basin of water and a towel. She wrung out the towel and gently wiped the sweat off Darion’s face and neck.

“Just leave his body alone. He’s got wounds and can’t get them wet,” Thalia reminded her from the side.
