Chapter 418
As he spoke, he reached out to Thalia, his eyes crinkling with a warm glint, as if his blue eyes could speak for themselves.
But Darion blocked his hand again, his voice calm and steady. “My wife, Thalia Coleman.”
Quinn was momentarily taken aback, then broke into a wide, exaggerated grin, his whole face moving with the force of his laughter.
“So this is your wife, Ms Coleman? I’ve heard so much about you. Finally, I get to meet you in person,” he said.
As he spoke, his gaze became even more unapologetic, boldly sweeping over Thalia’s face, completely ignoring Darion’s cold glare. His blue eyes sparkled with curiosity and amusement.
Thalia felt uneasy. The way he looked at her was like she was a prize to be won, something rare and expensive.
Her brows knitted together, her clear eyes taking on a chilly, detached light as she stared right back at Quinn.
Quinn burst out laughing. “Mrs. Blackburn, you’re really bold. No one’s ever dared to look at me like that before.”
He moved in even closer, a sly grin on his face. “Do you know what happened to the last person who dared to look at me like that?”
He shaped his hand into a claw, his blue eyes lit up with a manic gleam! “Guess what? I gouged his eyes
out.”
“Ah!”
Quinn suddenly screamed in agony.
Darion caught his hand and, with a swift, brutal force, snapped his fingers with a sickening crack.
Quinn’s face twisted with rage. “Darion, how dare you lay a hand on me!”
Darion’s eyes were cold as ice, his aura sharp as a blade. “Your name’s Quinn, but you clearly don’t know what manners are. You treat my wife like that. What if you scare her? Are you planning to pay for that?”
Quinn was furious, his blue eyes brewing a storm. He glanced at his broken fingers and said coldly, “Three million. For compensation.”
Darion raised an eyebrow. “Show some respect to my wife, or I’ll pay 30 million to buy all ten of your fingers.”
Quinn snorted, turned, and sat back down on the couch.
Darion gently squeezed Thalia’s hand, reassuring her softly. “Don’t be afraid.”
Thalia bit her lip, murmuring, “Is he insane?”

“Yeah, that’s one way to put it,” Darion said.

As the leader of the world’s second most powerful mercenary organization. Quinn was a certified lunatic.
His claim to fame was hacking off the limbs of his half-siblings, leaving them nothing but bare torsos, and hanging them from giant fishing rods as a “gift” for his father’s birthday party.
He was a total wild card, vicious, unpredictable, and if he got pissed off, someone was bound to get hurt.
But money was his weakness.
Offer him enough, and he’d do anything.
Darion guided Thalia to sit with him on the couch, leaned in, and murmured, “His crew took a contract to kill you.”
Thalia’s back went rigid, and she shot Quinn a look, her guard instantly up.
Quinn barely reacted to his broken fingers, just sitting there as his bodyguards wrapped them up, like he couldn’t care less.
