I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 427

Chapter 427

Darion sat propped up against the headboard, listening to her words, his expression darkening.

His eyes swept over her, finally resting on her belly.

After a long moment, he threw back the covers and got out of bed.

Thalia’s mind was still foggy, and once he was gone from her side, she quickly drifted back to sleep.

When she woke up again, it was already two in the afternoon. She’d slept almost the whole day away.

Groggily getting up, her body felt sore and her legs like jelly. In her mind, Thalia kept cursing Darion for being such an animal.

After a shower, she felt much better, refreshed and comfortable. She checked the cabinet, but couldn’t find any birth control pills.

Her brows knitted together. ‘Did he not hear what I said?’ she wondered.

She lowered her gaze slightly. ‘Maybe he heard me, but just didn’t want to do anything about it,’ she thought.

Thalia stepped out of the room, and from the living room, she could hear a man’s deep, magnetic voice talking about corporate affairs.

Thalia didn’t understand any of it. Leaning over the railing, she glanced down and saw a few men in suits sitting on the couch, taking notes on their laptops.

‘Looks like they’ve brought the meeting home,’ Thalia thought.

Just as Thalia was about to look away, Darion in the living room looked up, almost as if he could feel her

gaze.

Their eyes met.

She immediately looked away, walked downstairs, and headed outside.

“Where are you going?” Darion’s deep voice came from behind her.

Thalia said flatly, “I’m going to see Diana.”

Darion said, “I’ll be done soon, I’ll go with you.”

Thalia replied, “No need. Just send someone with me.”

“I’m not comfortable with you going alone,” Darion said.

Darion gave instructions to the others, then said, “Meeting’s over.”

The men took the hint, packed up their things, and left one after another.

As they passed Thalia, they greeted her politely.

Chapter 127

“Hello, Mrs. Blackburn.”

“Goodbye, Mrs. Blackburn.”

Thalia looked indifferent as she watched Darion get up and walk over. He looked noticeably pale.

Things got pretty wild last night, and his wounds had split open again, but he just ignored it. Thalia didn’t bother to ask how he handled it afterward.

Thalia glanced away and said, “Aren’t you worried you’ll drop dead tagging along with me?”

Darion smirked, “Since I’ve already been paid, I have to give you the full service.”

Thalia was at a loss for words.

Her expression turned icy, and she walked off quickly.

The driver pulled up, and Thalia got straight into the front seat.

The driver froze for a second, surprised. “Mrs. Blackburn…”

“Are you going to drive or not?” Thalia said coldly. “If you don’t start driving, I’m getting out.”

The driver immediately glanced at Darion. “Mr. Blackburn, um…”

“Just drive,” Darion said.

Darion sat in the back, watching Thalia’s icy expression, but didn’t seem bothered by it.

The car rolled smoothly down the street, and as they drove past a pharmacy, Thalia said, “Stop the car.”

The driver slammed on the brakes, bringing them to a sudden halt.

Thalia opened the door and stepped out. Darion watched her head into the pharmacy, his gaze growing

darker.
