Chapter 434
Thalia hadn’t expected Wendy to chicken out so fast. She gave Wendy a helpless pat on the back and smiled, “Relax. He wouldn’t dare.”
Wendy let out a sigh of relief, plopped down next to Thalia, grabbed a bag of chips, and started munching
away.
As she ate, Wendy complained, “Seriously, I don’t get it. Doesn’t he know what boundaries are? What kind of brother-in-law is so open with his sister-in-law? Sometimes I even wonder if Keith is actually his kid.”
Thalia lowered her eyes and sighed, “If only he really was.”
‘If that were true, everything would be so much simpler, Thalia thought to herself.
Wendy let out another sigh, shooting Thalia a troubled look.
“Seriously, when are you two actually going to get divorced?” Wendy pressed.
Thalia shrugged, “It’s just a matter of time.”
Her eyes flashed with determination. She was dead set on making it happen, no matter what.
Wendy decided to drop the subject. There was no point in talking about it anymore.
She picked out a horror movie and watched it with Thalia.
But just as they were halfway through, a sudden knock sounded at the door.
The movie was at its most intense, and the unexpected knock made both girls jump out of their skin.
“Who is it?!” Wendy snapped toward the door, clearly annoyed.
Thalia got up as well and went with Wendy to the door.
When she saw it was Darion, she immediately frowned, opened the door, and said, “Why are you here?”
Wendy instinctively hid behind Thalia, giving Darion a look full of hostility.
Darion said, “I’m not comfortable with this.”
Wendy shot back, “Why are you even worried? Thalia’s way safer with me than she ever would be with you!”
Darion gave her an icy, chilling stare.
Wendy instantly ducked behind Thalia, sneaking a cautious glance at him.
Thalia kept her voice steady. “I’m staying put, not going anywhere. You said I’d be safe for a while, right? Or was that just talk?”
“I’m not lying,” Darion said mildly, shooting Wendy a glance. “But that’s only if she doesn’t mess with Quinn.”

Chapter 434
Thalia’s pupils contracted sharply. “What are you talking about?”
Wendy blinked, looking confused. “Quinn? Who even is that? I don’t know the guy, so how could I mess with him? Don’t just go blaming me for stuff I didn’t do.”
Darion said, “Let me in.”
“No way!” Wendy shot back, shaking her head.
Wendy immediately shook her head and refused, “This is my place, and you’re not welcome.”
