Chapter 436
Wendy paused for a moment, instinctively glancing at Thalia.
Thalia frowned at Darion, who looked totally relaxed. He clearly wasn’t going anywhere.
She lowered her gaze, let out a heavy sigh, and said, “I’ll help you clean up.”
She still hadn’t figured out what he was after or what he wanted in exchange, so for now, she couldn’t risk confronting him just yet.
The two of them headed to the guest room. Wendy pulled out fresh sheets and pillowcases, changing them as she asked, “Thalia, babe, do you think he was telling the truth or just making stuff up?”
Thalia shot her a complicated look and said, “I’ve met Quinn. He really is mixed, blue eyes, and those features are seriously striking.”
Wendy’s face went a shade paler. She gripped the sheets tightly, hesitating before saying, “What’s done is done, so why can’t he just let it go? Why is he still after me?”
Thalia’s expression turned even more serious. “Honestly, he’s got a few screws loose. He’s not all there. I really think you should stay away from him.”
Wendy nodded quickly. “Yeah, I’ll do what you say.”
Once they finished changing the sheets, the two of them walked out and saw Darion texting on his phone.
Not long after, there was a knock at the door.
Wendy jumped, instinctively glancing at Darion. “Did you tell him? Did you ask him to come over?”
Darion shot her a cold look, then walked over and opened the door. It was his bodyguard, standing there with a first aid kit in hand.
Seeing that, Wendy let out a sigh of relief.
“Thank goodness, it’s not Quinn,’ Wendy thought to herself.
Darion looked at Thalia and said, “I need to change my bandages.”
Thalía took the first aid kit and walked into the guest room.
Darion followed her in and closed the door behind them.
Wendy had been watching them, but now all she could do was stare at the closed door, feeling worried. “Thalia, if he tries anything, just yell for me. I’ll be right outside!”
Inside the guest room, Darion heard Wendy’s words from outside and let out a soft chuckle.
He started unbuttoning his shirt, one button after another, clearly amused by the drama outside.
His sharp, fox-like eyes danced with mischief as he looked at Thalia. “Are you really gonna call out for her?”

Chapter 136
Thalia’s brows furrowed. “This isn’t your place. Can you try to behave yourself?”
Darion slipped off his shirt and sat down at the edge of the bed. “I haven’t done anything. Why do I need to behave?”
Thalia washed her hands and walked over to start changing his bandages.
She was standing off to the side, but Darion grabbed her and pulled her to stand right between his legs.
His hands locked around her waist, his fingers tracing slow, deliberate circles with just enough pressure to make her feel it.
Thalia stiffened, her voice tense. “Are you going to let me put the medicine on, or what?”
Darion smirked, “You really think I’m scheming against you? That actually makes me a little unhappy.”
Thalia clenched the cotton swab in her hand. “I’m just speaking from experience, that’s all.”
Darion looked up at her, his gaze lingering on her cold expression. “I’ve never schemed against you before.”
Thalia scoffed, “Heh… You really don’t hear how absurd that sounds, do you?
“If you never schemed against me, then why didn’t you just tell me the truth? Why hide the fact that the person I saved wasn’t you? Did you enjoy watching me go crazy over it?”
As soon as she finished, Darion’s grip on her waist tightened. His eyes grew darker, and he said in a low, serious voice, “Thalia, did you save them because you knew I was in danger, or was there another reason?”
