Chapter 447
Darion’s dark eyes softened as he leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. His heart turned
to mush.
‘This is perfect,’ he thought.
She was letting down her guard, slowly accepting him, and coming back into his life.
Quinn had checked out nearly a hundred girls over the past two days, but he still couldn’t find the girl from that night.
At his wit’s end, he called Jason. “I need to see Darion,” he demanded.
Jason, groggy and half-asleep, mumbled, “Darion’s busy. He can’t be bothered with you right now. It’s late, just go to bed.”
Quinn smirked darkly. “Then I’ll just go find Thalia. Let’s see if he’s still too busy then.”
“Are you nuts?” Jason snapped, rolling out of bed and raking his fingers through his hair in frustration. “So you hooked up with a girl. She left, which means she doesn’t want anything from you.
“Why are you still hung up on her? What, are you some kind of virgin with issues? You think whoever popped your cherry has to take responsibility for you?”
“Yeah,” Quinn replied, deadly serious.
“She took my virginity, so now she owes me,” he said, his voice unwavering.
“What?” Jason blurted out, totally stunned.
He could barely believe his ears. “Your first time? Are you serious? Quinn, with your status and looks, you’re telling me you’re still a virgin?”
In Jason’s mind, a guy like Quinn, all polished and devilishly charming, was the very definition of a playboy. Especially after living abroad in places where casual hookups were just part of everyday life, he figured Quinn wouldn’t give a damn about virginity.
But now, Jason was floored. Quinn was actually a virgin.
“Hooking up with random people is just nasty, no matter if you’re a guy or a girl,” Quinn sneered, his tone dripping with contempt. “Are you one of those gross types?”
Jason shot back, “What’s it to you? You want Darion’s number so bad? Whatever, I’ll just give it to you.”
He hung up right after and sent Darion’s number over to Quinn.
It was two in the morning when Darion stepped out of the hospital room. His phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw an unfamiliar number, but he recognized it right away.
It was Quinn’s number. Ever since Quinn returned to Ariston, Darion had handled all his paperwork

himself.
Why is he calling me this late?’ Darion wondered.
“Hello?”
Darion answered, his tone curt and flat.
“Mr. Blackburn, when are you actually going to do what you promised?” Quinn’s voice was tight with frustration.
Darion replied, “You met her at a bar. There were so many people there. How am I supposed to find her that quickly?”
Quinn scoffed, “Guess you’re not that good after all. Back abroad, this would be a piece of cake.”
“So you’d find her in a heartbeat, huh?” Darion replied, his tone calm. “Alright, help me out with something, and I’ll help you track her down.”
Quinn paused, then suddenly lost his cool. “You really can’t keep your word, can you? We already made a deal, and now you’re trying to tack on more conditions? No wonder your wife wants nothing to do with you!”
