I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 448

Chapter 448

Darion arched his brow slightly at the way he was addressed. “I’ll get on it right away.”

With that, he hung up.

“Damn it!”

Quinn slammed the phone down, his face twisted in frustration. He was sure Darion had messed with him, but he couldn’t prove it.

He was still lingering outside that bar from that night, his blue eyes scrutinizing every girl who came and went, desperate to find the one who had driven him wild and sent his adrenaline through the roof.

The taste of that night was still intoxicating. He kept replaying it in his mind, and every time he did, the longing nearly drove him crazy.

He’d never messed with this kind of thing before. He found it disgusting. Just seeing people throw wild parties, with threesomes or even a dozen folks all together, made him sick to his stomach.

Diana had always told him, “Never hurt a girl. If you ever do, even by accident, you have to take responsibility for her.”

But he hadn’t hurt that girl. She was the one who messed him up, but she just took off, leaving him hanging.

Quinn was fuming, his handsome, sharp features icy cold. Tall and broad-shouldered, with those striking blue eyes, he was an absolute head-turner just standing there.

Girls kept coming up to flirt with him, but he brushed them off with an impatient scowl.

Quinn lingered outside until five in the morning, but when he finally returned to the hotel, disappointment was written all over his face.

When Thalia woke up, she realized she was on the couch. She blinked, a bit dazed, then turned her head and spotted Darion sitting by the bed, absorbed in his phone.

She sat up, still confused. “Did you not sleep at all last night?”

Darion looked over at her, his eyes glinting with a soft smile. “Thalia, is that concern I hear from you?”

Thalia was at a loss for words.

‘Why do I even waste my breath on him?’ she thought.

She went to the bathroom to freshen up, and when she came back out, she was carrying a basin of water with a towel hanging over the edge. She carefully wiped Diana’s face and body, making sure to be gentle with every touch.

Diana was still unconscious, her complexion looking awful. Thalia felt a deep pang of worry and sorrow for her grandmother.

Chapter 448

The doctor came in for his rounds, his face serious. Analyzing the toxin would take time, and even though the specialists had already been called in for a consultation, the results wouldn’t come quickly.

Thalia watched from the side, her eyes filled with anxious concern.

Once the doctors had left, Thalia turned to Darion. “Any news on Miya yet?”

Darion said quietly, “I don’t know.”

Thalia’s face went even paler.

Just then, his phone rang. He glanced at the screen, picked up, and said, “Speak.”

After a moment, he looked at Thalia, his face growing more serious. “I’ve got some news.”

Thalia’s eyes lit up. “What is it?”

Darion said, “Have some breakfast first, then I’ll tell you.”

Thalia frowned. “Can you stop keeping me in suspense? This really isn’t the time for games.”

Darion replied, “I’m worried you won’t have any appetite once you hear it.”
