I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 449

Chapter 449

“I had someone watching Matthew. After you split up yesterday, he went home, but late at night, he drove out to an old house on the edge of town. Once he left, my people checked the place, and it’s confirmed. Miya’s living there,” Darion said.

Thalia’s eyes grew wide in shock as she listened. ‘It really was him who took Miya!’ she thought.

“Yeah,” Darion replied.

Thalia looked puzzled. “But why would he do that? He knows Miya and I don’t get along. He…”

Her lips trembled, and she didn’t finish her sentence.

She remembered the files Darion had shown her before. Matthew’s background was anything but ordinary. Maybe he was behind everything she’d been through.

So it made sense he’d hide Miya.

Darion said, “He’s hiding Miya, and he might try something against you. Thalia, it’s your call now. Are you going to just go get Miya now, or wait and see what Matthew wants to do?”

Thalia lowered her gaze, then glanced at Diana lying in the hospital bed. “I can’t wait. Why wait when we already know the truth? I need to find Miya and save Diana.”

“Alright,” Darion replied.

Darion pulled out his phone and sent a message.

Thalia said, “I’m coming with you.”

“Alright,” Darion replied.

Darion had always intended to have her with him.

Even though the threat from overseas was gone, he only felt truly at ease when she was right there with

him.

Thalia asked Dax and Edith to stay and look after Diana, then got into Darion’s car.

As the car was driving along, Thalia’s eyes were remarkably calm. She turned to Darion and asked, “Do you have any poison?”

Darion raised an eyebrow. “What are you planning?”

Thalia replied, “I want to give them a taste of their own medicine.”

‘Trenton and Shyla poisoned Diana just for Miya. If I don’t do something about it, I’ll never be able to forgive myself.

‘They care so much about Miya. They’d definitely be willing to trade her for the antidote, right?’ Thalia thought.

Chapter 419

Darion said, “I don’t have any poison right now. We could go get some, but we might not have enough time. We need to act fast.”

Disappointment flickered in Thalia’s eyes, but she didn’t say anything more.

It took almost an hour for the car to reach the old house. Ryan was already in position, waiting. He walked over to Darion and whispered, “Mr. Blackburn, we’ve got the place surrounded. Unit 3 is locked down. She won’t be able to escape.”

“Let’s move in,” Darion said.

Darion took Thalia’s hand.

Ryan led the way, and in the stairwell, a guy was smoking, posing as a tenant in this unit. When he spotted Darion, he quickly stubbed out his cigarette.

Ryan gave him a nod, and the man headed up the stairs.

He stopped at a door on the sixth floor, reached out and knocked. “Hi, I’m from property management, here to check for any gas leaks.”

There was no sound from inside. The seconds dragged on, and before they knew it, two minutes had passed.

Just then, Ryan’s phone rang. He checked his phone and said, “She tried to climb out the window, but our team stopped her.”

Thalia raised an eyebrow in surprise. ‘She’s really alert,’ she thought.

‘It’s the sixth floor. If she’s not careful, she could end up dead,’ Thalia thought.

They turned and headed out, and as they came around the building, they saw Miya pinned down by a few bodyguards. She was fighting with everything she had.

“Let me go! Let me go!” Miya yelled.

Her eyes burned with resentment when she spotted Darion and Thalia. “It’s you… Why are you still breathing? I’m already a rat everyone wants to stomp on. Why can’t you just leave me alone?”
