I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 465

Chapter 465

10 vouches

Thalia’s eyes burned with unshed tears. She blinked hard and quickly dropped her gaze, fighting to keep her feelings hidden so Diana wouldn’t catch on. All she could do was hope that once the toxins were finally gone, things would get better for Diana.

Diana stopped looking at her and turned to stare out the window. The sky was pitch black now, nothing but darkness outside, but Diana just kept gazing out, not even blinking. It looked like there were a few more wrinkles on her tired face, and she seemed more worn out than ever.

Thalia got up and headed to the bathroom. She splashed cold water on her face, trying to steady herself.

When she looked up at her reflection in the mirror, her gaze hardened with cold resolve. ‘Letting them off like this is way too easy. Trenton and Shyla wanted Diana dead!’ she thought.

Thalia let out a slow, heavy breath. She was out for revenge. She’d make sure Trenton and Shyla tasted the same agony they’d inflicted.

“You… why did you come?”

Just then, Diana’s voice came from outside.

Thalia rushed out and saw Darion coming in. Diana was staring at him, her gaze vacant and sluggish.

Darion noticed Diana wasn’t quite herself, but he kept a straight face and spoke softly, “I just wanted to check in on you. How are you feeling?”

Diana paused for a while before replying, her voice dull and tired. “I’m sleepy. I’m going to bed.”

With that, she slowly started to move, trying to settle herself and lie down.

Thalia frowned, worry etched across her face. Diana had already spent most of the day sleeping. Was that really okay? The thought nagged at her.

She gently said, “Diana, please don’t go to sleep just yet. Let me check with the doctor first.”

Diana had just started to pull the covers over herself, but at Thalia’s words, she paused, then slowly let the blanket fall and nodded. “Alright, you go ask the doctor.”

Thalia turned to Edith. “Please look after Diana for me.”

Edith nodded. “Don’t worry, I will.”

Darion followed her out. She said, “You didn’t have to come.”

Darion replied, “I just can’t feel at ease with you here by yourself.”

“What about Keith? What if something happens to him again?” Thalia looked at him. “You should and stay with him.”

“I’ve got extra people watching him. He’ll be fine,” Darion said, but he still insisted on staying. Thalia’s brows knitted slightly as she glanced at him. Seeing how determined he was, she didn’t say

When they got to the doctor’s office, Thalia quickly filled the doctor in on what was going on with Diana.

The doctor followed them to Diana’s room, gave her a quick check-up, and finally said, “It could be the residual toxins causing this. We’ll need to monitor her closely. Tomorrow, we’ll do a comprehensive examination to see if there’s any neurological damage.”

Thalia’s face went pale. “What if there’s damage to her brain?”
