The doctor left quickly, and the room fell silent again. Diana sat quietly on the hospital bed, the light casting a pale glow over her face.
Thalia forced herself to push down her sadness and walked over gently. “Diana, you said you wanted to rest. Why don’t you lie down for a bit?”
During the detox phase, the elderly are especially weak and need plenty of rest.
Diana stared blankly for a few seconds before nodding. ‘Oh, right. I’m tired. I’ll get some sleep now.”
Thalia helped her lie down and gently tucked her in. As she watched Diana close her eyes, the sadness and anger in Thalia’s gaze were almost impossible to hide.
She turned and walked out of the room, with Danion following closely behind.
She took a deep breath, then looked at him. I want to bring down the Coleman Group.”
Darion put his arm around her shoulders. “Alright.”
Thalia stiffened slightly, but didn’t push him away.
Then he gently turned her so her face was buried in his chest. His broad hand stroked the back of her head as he said softly. “If you need to cry, just let it out.”
Thalia’s hands balled into fists.
She thought she’d managed to hold it together.
But as soon as he said that, all the emotions she’d been holding back came crashing down. Tears spilled from her eyes like pearls from a broken necklace. She bit down hard on her lip, and only when she couldn’t control herself anymore did tiny, choked sobs escape.
Anyone who heard it would feel their heart ache for her.
Darion’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard. Thalia, you can cry out loud. Don’t hold it in.”
But Thalia ignored him. She kept her eyes closed, letting herself be enveloped by his warmth, releasing some of her pent-up feelings. Then she pushed him away.
Darion really didn’t want to let her go.
If he could, he’d hold her forever.
He finally let go, and she quickly wiped her face. “I’m staying here with Diana tonight. You should go home for now.”
Her voice was still thick from crying, her eyes rimmed with red, but now shining clear as if the tears had washed them clean.
Darion glanced at his shirt, raised an eyebrow, and teased. You messed up my shirt. Shouldn’t you take responsibility for that?

Chapter 166
Thalia stared at him, stunned. “You…”
“You have to wash it for me.” Darion pressed, not even bothering to hide how shameless he was.
He took her hand and insisted. “Right now. I need it fresh for tomorrow.”
Thalia’s brows furrowed. “Darion, I’m staying here with Diana tonight!”

But Darion insisted, “I need this shirt for tomorrow, so you’re washing it tonight. No arguments.”
“You!” Thalia blurted out.
‘He’s seriously getting more shameless by the day!’ she thought.
‘With all those servants at home, why does he need me to wash his clothes?
‘Even if there weren’t any servants, couldn’t he just toss it in the washing machine himself?
‘He’s just being a pain on purpose!’ Thalia thought angrily.
She was fuming, but remembering she still needed his help, she forced herself to swallow her temper and marched toward the elevator, her face set in a chilly scowl.
By the time they got back to Rosewood Manor, it was already nine at night.
Thalia held out her hand. “Take off your shirt.”
But Darion studied her for a moment, then said. “Your face is filthy. Go upstairs and take a shower first.”
Thalia frowned. “I’ll just wash my face. Why bother with a shower? That’s a waste of time.”
She still had to head back to the hospital.
Darion said with a smirk. “You’ve been out all day. Are you really okay with smelling like that?”
Thalia was left speechless.
She sniffed herself, and sure enough, it wasn’t great. Her expression froze, and she turned to head upstairs
