Chapter 467
But when Thalia stepped out of the shower, she saw that the closet held nothing but a single nightgown. Everything else had vanished.
Thalia stood in the huge walk-in closet, staring at the totally empty shelves, and she was freaking out.
She slipped on the nightgown and went to look for Darion. She found him in the kitchen, cooking noodles. His tall, lean figure was dressed in an apron, and with the kitchen filled with steam and warmth, he looked even more handsome and captivating.
He turned to her and said calmly. “It’ll be ready soon.”
Thalia frowned at him. “Where are my clothes?”
“What clothes?” Darion replied.
He poured the noodles into a bowl and brought them to the table, his handsome face full of confusion.
Thalia said, “Why is there nothing left in the closet? All my clothes are gone!”
Darion feigned innocence. “I don’t know, I just got back. Maybe the mice took them or something.”
Thalia was left speechless.
She gritted her teeth. “How can you be so shameless?”
Darion grabbed Thalia by the shoulders, spun her around, and steered her to the table, pressing her gently into a chair. “Are you sure you have the strength to argue with me right now? Fill up first. Then you can yell at me all you want.”
Thalia was left speechless.
Honestly, she wasn’t hungry at all. After a whole day of running around, and then hearing Diana had been poisoned, she really couldn’t bring herself to eat.
But as soon as the smell of noodles hit her, her stomach started rumbling, totally betraying her.
She quietly picked up her fork and began to eat.
The noodles were fragrant and delicious the moment she tasted them. Darion’s cooking never disappoints.
Thalia lowered her gaze, her long lashes quivering softly. Her heart fluttered uncontrollably, no matter how hard she tried to calm herself.
After finishing her noodles, Thalia glanced at Darion, her watery eyes finally settling down. “I need to head back to the hospital, or I won’t be able to sleep tonight.”
Darion shook his head. “You won’t be able to do much there. They’ve got attendants and housekeepers, and I’ve already set up a special team of nurses and doctors to take care of Diana.”
Thalia pressed her lips together.

Darion looked at her and continued, “Right now, you need to take care of yourself. Don’t wear yourself out and get sick before Diana’s even recovered. She’s already suffering. Do you really want her to worry about you too?”
His words made Thalia’s resolve falter. She remembered the last time she’d had a fever and fainted, if it hadn’t been for him….
Thinking about it, Thalia looked up at him, her eyes searching, and asked, “When I had that fever and passed out, you came to see me. Why didn’t you let Diana tell me?”
Darion replied calmly, “I didn’t think it was necessary at the time. But looking back, maybe I should’ve told you. Who knows, maybe you would’ve seen me in a different light.”
Thalia stood up. “No way.”
She headed upstairs and went straight to the guest room.
It wasn’t long before Darion came upstairs as well. Thalia was sitting on the bed when she saw him nonchalantly pull back the covers and lie down. Her brows furrowed instantly. “What are you doing?”
Her watery eyes flashed with caution.
Darion said, “Sleeping.”
