Chapter 468
Thalia stayed tense the entire time.
To her, it seemed impossible that Darion would just hold her and sleep, nothing more.

Minutes passed, and soon she heard his steady breathing behind her. Only then did Thalia finally begin to relax.
She was a little surprised, but didn’t think much of it. She hadn’t felt tired before, but with everything so quiet and his steady breathing in her ear, sleepiness started to creep in.
The night was deep. Thalia’s steady breathing filled the room, and behind her, Darion opened his eyes. He let out a silent sigh, then brushed a soft kiss against her cheek.
In the darkness, his eyes were full of tenderness and a deep sense of cherishing as he watched her.
He’d tried to let go, but he just couldn’t.
From now on, whatever it takes, he’s going to stay by her side, even if it means going down together.
The next morning, Thalia Coleman opened her eyes and felt a hand sliding over her body. She quickly caught it.
“Weren’t you the one who told me to sleep?” Thalia said, her voice still rough from just waking up.
Darion’s face was nestled in the crook of her neck. He let out a low chuckle and said, “You slept well.”
Thalia pressed her lips together, then lifted the covers, about to get out of bed.
But Darion stopped her, holding her back. “Only once?”
A soft blush colored Thalia’s pale cheeks. She frowned at him. “I don’t want to…”
Darion leaned over her, his voice low and husky. “Ten times a month, remember? We’ve only done it twice so far.”
Thalia was left speechless.
It was part of their agreement. She had no way out.
She gave up resisting, closed her eyes, and turned away from him. “Just get it over with!”
Darion arched his brow, then dove under the covers without warning.
As soon as Thalia felt what he was up to, she kicked out at him, but he caught her ankle in his grip.
His hot breath washed over her soft skin as he murmured, “It’s only fun if we’re both into it.”
Thalia’s cheeks flushed even deeper.

After freshening up, they went downstairs. Breakfast was already on the table, but Thalia kept a frosty look on her face.
She realized that the clothes that had mysteriously disappeared from her closet last night had magically reappeared.
She muttered sarcastically, “That mouse sure is hardworking, always hauling things back and forth and never getting tired.”
Darion kept a straight face. “Maybe the mouse loves sports.”
Thalia was left speechless.
‘Seriously, what’s wrong with him?’ Thalia thought to herself.
She finished her breakfast and headed straight out to the hospital.
Darion went to the old house to check on Keith. The little boy was being held by someone, and when he saw Darion, he reached out for him.
Darion picked him up, noticing Keith still looked tired. His eyes darkened a bit as he asked gently, “Did Keith manage to fall asleep last night?”
