Chapter 473
Thalia barely ate anything tonight, and as soon as they got back to Rosewood Manor, Darion headed straight for the kitchen.
She scrolled through her phone, seeing a bunch of messages from people in the industry checking in on her.
Among them was one from Sebastian Flynn.
Sebastian: [Thalia, how have you been lately? I saw the news about the Coleman Group. It didn’t affect you, did it?]
Thalia: [I’m fine, really. Thanks for caring, Sebastian.]
Sebastian: [Why are you being so formal with me? Aren’t we friends?]
Sebastian: [I don’t know if it’s just me, but it feels like we’re growing apart. You haven’t been back to Maplewood Estate in ages.]
Sebastian: [Thalia, if something’s wrong, I hope you’ll just tell me. I don’t want you to misunderstand me.]
‘A misunderstanding?’ Thalia thought to herself.
But when they caught that guy, he admitted Sebastian was the one who put him up to it.
And now Sebastian claims it was just a misunderstanding?
After everything she’d been through, Thalia just couldn’t bring herself to trust anyone so easily anymore.
She hesitated for a while before finally typing out a reply.
Thalia: [No, Sebastian, you misunderstood. It’s just that I’ve been busy taking care of Diana lately. She hasn’t been feeling well.]
Sebastian: [Which hospital is she at? I could go visit her. Diana always enjoys talking with me. Maybe seeing me would cheer her up.]
Thalia: [She’s already out of the hospital. She wanted to go home, so I brought her back.]
Sebastian: [Ah, I see. Too bad I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to her.]
Thalia: [I’m sure you’ll get to see her again.]
Sebastian: [Alright then, I won’t keep you. Goodnight.]
Thalia: [Goodnight.]
She put her phone aside, wondering to herself, ‘So… what should I do next?’

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

She walked over and opened it, her gaze cool and calm. “It’s rare for you to actually knock.”
Darion raised an eyebrow and replied in an even tone, “You’re still awake, so of course I knocked. In case you start arguing with me again.”
‘What kind of logic is that?’ Thalia thought, rolling her eyes.
Thalia didn’t bother arguing and just asked, “What’s up?”
Darion said, “I’m hungry. Come downstairs and join me for a bite.”
Thalia replied, “I’m too tired. I just want to rest.”
Darion shrugged, “Alright, then I won’t eat either. Let’s rest together.”
With that, he pushed the door open and started to walk in.
Thalia knew all too well what would happen if Darion barged in, so she pushed against his chest and started walking out, saying, “Alright, let’s go eat.”
Darion stepped back with her push, glancing at her small hand on his chest, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
