Chapter 487
With that, Thalia didn’t spare Trenton another glance. She turned and walked out of the alley.
“Thalia, don’t go! Just give me a chance to make it up to you, Thalia…” Trenton called after her.
Seeing this, Trenton hurried forward, trying to grab her arm.
If she just left like this, how was he ever going to see her again?
If he couldn’t see her, what would happen to the Coleman family? Would everything fall apart?
Was he really supposed to just give up and accept it?

He’d built the Coleman Group from scratch, fought through decades of ups and downs, and created a whole empire. Now, he had nothing left. How could he possibly be okay with that?
Right now, the only thing he could do was grab Thalia, desperately apologize, beg her to forgive him, and hope she’d be willing to help him.
But Dax Stone stepped in front of him again, blocking his way.
“Hey, you old geezer, can’t you understand plain words? Miss Coleman doesn’t want to see you! If you don’t need those ears, I might as well chop them off for you!” Dax snapped.
Dax was livid. ‘How can anyone be so shameless?’ he wondered.
Trenton shoved him aside. “Don’t block me! She’s my daughter, the one I raised myself! Thalia, don’t go! Your mom is really sick. Even when she’s unconscious, she keeps calling your name, Thalia!”
Thalia paused mid-step. Trenton’s eyes lit up, and he hurried to add, “Thalia, your mom has always treated you well. She really cares about you. Don’t take it out on her. Please, go see her. She’s seriously ill. She might not have much time left…”
He figured Thalia would still care about their relationship as mother and daughter, that she’d soften up, so he was desperate to grab this chance.
But Thalia didn’t even turn around. “When you poisoned Diana, did you ever stop to think that she was always worrying about her, always missing her? Do you even realize what Diana’s become now? She’s slow to react, her mind’s dull, her memory fading, all because of you!”
Her hands balled into fists at her sides as she turned to glare at him. “If you call my name one more time, I won’t be able to hold back. I’ll kill you both!”
The hatred in her clear, watery eyes was so obvious and intense that Trenton stumbled back a few steps, clearly terrified.
Thalia hurried out of the alley. Once she stepped into the open, it was as if she’d been reborn. She gulped in the fresh air, taking several deep breaths until the ache in her chest finally eased.
Dax hurried after her. “Miss Coleman, are you really just going to let him go like that? Feels like he’s getting off way too easy.”

Chapter 187
Thalia replied coldly, “Trust me, for a long time, he’ll be suffering every single day. He’ll wish he could just end it all.”
Trenton had lost everything, his power, his status, and he couldn’t stand it. With Shyla gravely ill, things were only going to get worse for him.
Dax mulled it over and figured she had a point, so he kept quiet.
Thalia drove over to Wendy’s place. As soon as Wendy opened the door, she looked Thalia up and down, clearly worried. “How are you? Are you alright?”
Thalia gave her a small smile. “I’m fine. Where’s Doggy?”
