He was trapped in Oakwood. Darion was wining and dining him, but he wasn’t allowed to leave/ Because to Darion, he was a wild card.
While he was here, his men didn’t dare show up. If they made the slightest move, he’d be a dead man.
So, here, he was basically nobody.
He’d begged Darion to help him find the girl from his first night, even promising all kinds of perks in
return.
But they wouldn’t do a damn thing for him.
Now, he was sure. They knew exactly who she was and where she was, but they were keeping it from him on purpose.
They were playing him for a fool.
Seriously, what a bunch of assholes.
‘Quinn wanted nothing more than to slaughter every last one of them.
‘Madness and malice burned in Quinn’s blue eyes, but he knew exactly how screwed he was, so he clamped down hard on that impulse.’
He shot Darion a deadly serious look. “You better keep your word, or your wife’s life is on the line.”
He’d lost all trust in Darion now.
Threats were the only leverage he had left.
Darion’s sharp, obsidian eyes narrowed with a dangerous glint. He said calmly, “I’ll find her and deliver her right to you.”
Quinn slumped back onto the couch, no longer interested in the drama. A gloomy aura wrapped around him, making him look like a lunatic on the verge of losing it.
Meanwhile, Harvey was already wasted, passed out face-down on the table.
Darion had someone take Harvey away, then turned to Jason. “You should head out too.”
Jason nodded. “Alright, I’ll head out now. Just give me a call if you need anything.”
“Mm.”
Silence settled over the room almost instantly.
Darion walked over to Thalia. Even with that mask between them, he could still tell just how anxious she
was.

He leaned down, took her hand, and said, “I’ve brought in a top-notch hypnotist. Once we put him under. we’ll get some answers for sure.”
Thalia’s eyes lit up. “Really? You think it’ll work?”
“Mm.”
Darion replied, but he went on, “I had to call in a big favor for this.”
Thalia pressed her lips together and asked, “What do you want in return?”
Darion fixed her with a deep, unwavering gaze. “Five more times.”
“No way!” Thalia shot back without hesitation.
She shook her head, her eyes dead serious as she stared him down. “Anything else, just not this!”
Darion arched an eyebrow. “But honestly, besides that, I really don’t know what else you could do for me.”
He looked like he was actually considering it. “Cook for me? But your cooking’s not as good as mine, so that’s out. Help with my work? Do you even know what I do? Anything else you got?”
Thalia just stared at him, speechless.
She fell silent.
‘So, to him, I’m just useless?’ Thalia thought.
Frustration simmered inside Thalia, but she held firm. “Absolutely not! Pick something else.”
Darion chuckled softly, a sly grin on his face. “Three times.”
Thalia was still speechless.
She was still hesitating.
Darion’s voice got even lower. “Two times. That’s as low as I’ll go.”
Thalia closed her eyes, steeling herself. “Deal!”
Darion took her hand, helped her up, and led her out.
Quinn called out in a chilling tone, “Seven days. I want everything about the girl from Otherwise…
Darion turned back, his obsidian eyes cold as ice. “Then go to hell.”
Quinn’s expression contorted in fury.

Once everyone had left, he went berserk, kicking the coffee table over and wrecking the whole room, letting out all his pent-up rage.
