I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 519

Chapter 519

Viola didn’t let her guard down. She continued to ask gently, “Who is she?”

Matthew Evans’s lips moved, as if he was about to say something, but the next second, he suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed, passing out cold.

Viola’s face turned pale. The hypnosis was abruptly broken, leaving her mentally shaken. She staggered back several steps before finally steadying herself.

Thalia Coleman rushed over and caught Viola, concern in her voice. “Viola, are you alright?”

Viola took a deep breath, closed her eyes for a moment, then slipped the antique pocket watch back into her pocket. “I’m okay,” she said, her voice a little shaky. “His willpower is just too strong. That’s the best I could manage.”

She turned to Darion Blackburn. “Miss Vera Holt, you remember her, right?”

“Alright.” Thalia said.

Darion’s eyes were cold as he said, “Your payment will be transferred to your account. I’ll have someone take you back to rest.”

Viola gave a wry smile. “Remember, you owe me extra for this.”

“Alright,” Thalia said.

The bodyguard stepped forward and helped Viola out of the basement.

Thalia Coleman glanced at the unconscious Matthew Evans, confusion clouding her face.

Miss Vera Holt.

‘Was it her who had him try to kill me so many times?

‘Is Miss Vera Holt actually the daughter of Shyla Mcgee and Trenton Coleman?’ Thalia thought, her thoughts spinning.

Suddenly, her hand was enveloped in warmth as someone grabbed it. Thalia felt a comforting strength surge through her, snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked up, surprised to find Darion standing right beside her. She hadn’t even noticed him come over.

Darion spoke in a deep, steady voice. “I’ll investigate her. I promise, I won’t let her hurt you.”

Thalia lowered her eyes. “This is what we agreed on.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she slipped her hand free, letting the warmth fade away. Without another word, she turned and walked out of the room.

Darion fired off a quick text, then hurried after her.

Standing under the night sky, Thalia breathed in the fresh air, feeling like she was alive again.

Chapter 519

Whenever she was with Matthew Evans, it always felt like she was caught between two worlds.

Back then, their problems were just misunderstandings and hurt feelings. She’d get sad, maybe even feel like she was losing it, but her life was never truly in danger.

But now, she had to stay alert every second, always watching her back, because someone really wanted her dead.

Thalia heard footsteps behind her and asked, “How’s Keith doing?”

“You know about Keith?” Darion sounded a bit surprised.

“Yeah, Viola told me,” she replied, glancing at him. “You’ve seen what Diana’s poisoning has done to her. You need to find the antidote fast, or things could get really bad.”

Darion’s eyes grew colder. “I’ve already sent people to look for the antidote.”

After a moment, Darion stepped right in front of her. “You still can’t help but go soft, huh? You still care about Keith, don’t you?”

Thalia turned away, her voice steady. “He’s just a kid. I don’t like him, but I wouldn’t want him to suffer.” Miya Smith might be cruel and heartless, but Keith is just an innocent kid.

But Darion gently took her hand again. “Keith drew a picture for you. He said it’s for you. Let’s go see it together.”

Thalia frowned a little. “It’s already so late. We should head back and get some rest. And you still have to look into who Miss Vera Holt is.”

“No worries, it won’t get in the way,” Darion replied.

He grabbed her hand and headed straight for the car with her.

Back at Rosewood Manor, Darion led Thalia straight to his room. He opened a drawer and pulled out a sheet of drawing paper.

“Look,” he said, holding it up. “Keith drew this. He said this one’s you, and this one’s me. He really hopes you’ll like him and accept him.”

As he spoke, his dark eyes fixed on her face, watching for any reaction.

Thalia lowered her eyes to the drawing, her long lashes quivering. Her tone was calm and distant as she said, “I just can’t.”

She looked up, meeting his gaze. “I don’t need to force myself to accept him. We’ll end up divorced eventually, and I won’t be his Tally for much longer.”
