He stared at Thalia’s delicate features, his breath hitched. Suddenly, he pulled her in for a fierce kiss, his lips crashing onto

ners.

Thalia let out a startled gasp.

She hadn’t expected the sudden attack. Her eyes flew wide as she tried to push him away, but he caught her wrist, holding her fast and deepening the kiss.

t was as if he was venting all his pent-up frustration, his lips and tongue ravaging hers, taking possession of every bit of her softness.

Thalia felt like she was about to suffocate. Desperate, she bit down on him, and the metallic taste of blood quickly spread between their lips.

coppery tang was far from pleasant, and the steamy atmosphere cooled off a bit.

Thalia shoved him away, still catching her breath as she stared at him. “What the hell is wrong with you?”

Darion lowered his head, his breath heavy and uneven. His voice was husky as he muttered, “I’m not happy.”

Thalia gave him a look like he’d lost his mind. “What are you even talking about?”

Darion looked up at her, his gaze burning. “Seeing you with another guy gets under my skin. And knowing you two are

iding something? That just makes it worse.”

Thalia was speechless.

she let out an angry laugh, completely exasperated.

Seriously, do you even remember what our relationship is? We’re basically waiting for the divorce papers. My life is none of your concern, and I don’t care what you do either. You…”

Say that again and I’ll keep kissing you,” Darion warned, his tone dangerously low.

His eyes bore into her, his handsome face stone-cold and utterly expressionless.

Thalia clammed up, glaring at him in disbelief and irritation. “You…”

Before she could finish, Darion suddenly leaned in, and she froze, too startled to say another word.

What a shameless bastard! Thalia fumed inwardly.

He’s seriously the worst, so damn shameless!’ she thought, her frustration boiling over.

She turned her face away with an annoyed huff, clearly pissed off.

Darion stared at her, his gaze lingering on her lips for a while, clearly reluctant to look away. Finally, he straightened up and closed the car door for her.

The whole ride was dead silent. Neither of them brought up what had just happened.

Thalia didn’t dwell on it. When they arrived at Rosewood Manor, she got out of the car and left without another word.

Darion, meanwhile, watched her go, his gaze lingering with a deep, brooding sadness.

Just then, his phone rang. He glanced at the screen. It was Jason calling.

“Darion,” Jason said as soon as the call connected.

“When are you sending someone over to spar with me again? I feel like I’m back in top shape now,” Jason said.

Darion’s eyes darkened. “Alright, I’ll send someone over.”

“You got it!” Jason replied.
