Chapter 71

As soon as Thalia and Wendy arrived, they sent Matthew a message.

Matthew came out to greet them. He wore a gentle smile and said, “Come on, some friends are having a get-together here Why not join us for a bit before heading home?”

Thalia shook her head. “No, thanks. Wendy and I have been out all day, and we’re pretty tired. I wanted to let you know. Let’s drop the whole divorce thing.”

Matthew looked a little surprised. “Why?”

They were in the lobby lounge, but Matthew was completely hidden behind a huge decorative plant. To anyone passing by. it looked like Thalia was talking to Wendy, who was standing right next to her.

Thalia looked at him with a serious expression. “Let’s hold off on the divorce for now. Maybe it’ll be less messy after a while.”

Matthew raised an eyebrow. “You really don’t want to come upstairs and join us? Everyone up there is someone you know- your classmates and friends.”

“No, thanks,” Thalia replied and turned to leave, but a waiter hurried past her from behind.

She didn’t notice and collided with the waiter, causing her to stumble backward. Matthew reacted quickly, reaching out to catch her in time and keeping her from falling.

Right at that moment, Darion walked in and caught everything that happened. Thalia slipped out of Matthew’s arms, glanced back at him with a shy smile, her face flushed.

‘No sooner had she left the day spa than she showed up here. Is she doing this to mess with me?’ Darion thought to himself.

Jason spotted her right away and said, “Darion, isn’t that Thalia over there?”

Darion’s voice was cold. “I can see just fine.”

Jason stared, lost for words. They could only watch as Thalia exchanged a few words with Matthew, then turned and walked away. Darion was even more pissed off now.

Jason gave Darion a cautious glance, rubbing his nose. “Darion, should we head in?”

“Yeah, why wouldn’t we?” Darion replied, his tone icy. He shot Jason a cold look, then marched straight toward the elevator.

When they got to the private room, they weren’t expecting to see Miya there as well.

Matthew smiled and said, “Darion, you made it. I called up everyone I could get a hold of. It’s been years since we’ve all met up, and everyone’s changed so much.”

Darion’s deep, dark eyes glanced at Miya. “Since you’re here, where’s Keith?”

Keith is in the hospital. She’s his mother, and she’s not even with him?’ Darion thought, feeling annoyed.

Miya said, “It’s rare for Matthew to be back, so I had to drop by. I’ve got a nanny and a caregiver taking care of Keith. I’ll hang
