Chapter 702 Neither Human Nor Ghost

As soon as they stepped into the bungalow, the air was thick with the stench of medicine and rot. Helen pulled out a handkerchief and covered her nose and mouth. She passed through a doorway and saw someone sprawled on the bed, screaming hoarsely.

“Help… Help!”

Apparently, she heard someone enter, and her cries abruptly stopped. She struggled to lift her head, peering over. When she realized it was Helen, she instantly reached out toward her.

She was so emaciated she looked like something caught between life and death, neither fully human nor a ghost.

Dax Stone said, “She tried to poison and hurt Thalia and Darion, so I used the exact same toxin on her. Didn’t expect it would only corrode one of her eyes. Tsk, looks like I messed up the dosage.”

Dax’s face darkened. “She’s crazy.”

Helen didn’t buy a single word Miya said, and Darion would never let anyone who hurt Keith get away with it.

She said coldly, “If she’s gone crazy, there’s no need to keep her here. Just send her straight to the psych ward.”

Once Miya ended up in that place, that’s when she’d really know what it means to be stuck between life and death.

Miya screamed, frantically clawing at Helen, trying to grab her.
